Zephyr Paintball Guns
Parents everywhere are being hounded by their kids to get the new Xploderz Guns! These guns were recently released to the public at the beginning of this year and have quickly become a "must-have" for kids of all ages. (Even my 18-year-old thinks they're cool!) If you're a parent, but you're worried about safety, rest assured that Xploderz Guns are as safe as can be.
Xploderz Guns shoot ammo that looks like paintball ammo except they don't shoot nearly as hard. While it may sting a little to be shot by one, there's no comparison to paintball guns when it comes to how hard they shoot. Also, the ammo is made of super absorbent polymers (think baby diapers) that are nontoxic. These polymers were originally invented back in the 1960's to help with the watering of crops and are still sometimes used when sodding golf courses to help with soil hydration.
Fair warning Xploderz Ammo has to be prepared. Ammo starts out as "grains", but after soaking them in water for a few hours, they expand to balls and are ready to be fired. My advice? Buy extra ammo and have extra clips so you don't run out!
These guns shoot further than the Nerf guns and hold way more ammo. Also, the bullets are expendable so you don't have to keep track of where you shoot them like you do with the Nerf guns. Remember, you're shooting water-based, biodegradable, nontoxic bullets (balls) so they're very safe. It's nothing like getting shot with a paintball gun.
There are three different kinds of Xploderz guns:
*A handgun called the XBlaster 200 that can shoot 50+ feet.
*The XStormer 1000, which is a little bigger and can shoot as far as 75+ feet.
*The XRanger 2000, that can shoot up to 85 feet.
There's also a two-pack of the XBlasterz 200 that comes with 2 Xploderz Ammo Clips and 400 Xploderz Ammo.
Summer's just around the corner, and Xploderz water guns are a great way to cool off, and of course, have some major fun! Even the "big kids" are lovin' them so why not get a bunch of friends together and head on over to the park for some good old-fashioned fun!

i have about 100 dollars but would like the helmet and co2 can and its for my buisness so would it be good or not?-
ANSWER:
Kind of. But I would look into a 98 custom for that price range. Way better gun and a thousand times more upgradable. All that stuff listed is just mumbo jumbo. It really says NOTHING except that the gun shoots. That's like listing a car and saying "now comes with
Axles
brakes
whells
windshield
and an all plastic custom dashboardhaha, don't fall for that, get yourself a 98 or an Ion if you can afford it.

QUESTION:
PAINTBALL GUN_____HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i need to know?
ok, well i just bought off of amazon a smart parts ion PRO. They said that it was from zephyr paintball (and zephyr has a store and a website and stuff like that so there real) Anyway, the gun was normal price, and i bought it. So when it came it was inside the box, shrinkwrapped, the whole shit, but when i opened it there were the two grip screws missing from the battery place but the screw bag did not come with the gun. The whole thing looked new, pakaging unopened, everything, but do you think that this was used?
by the way, i bought it off of amazon but it was from a real paintball store that was posting its merch on amazon.-
ANSWER:
I'd strip the gun down completely and check to make sure everything is there. I've used that same company once while buying a bunch of paintball banners for my garage and they came through alright. This happens alot when people don't buy direct, like said above screws can be obtained cheap and if that's missing you aren't too bad off. Let the amazon know about it, they might do something. Take care

QUESTION:
What loader/hopper should I get with my azodin blitz?
I was thinking of getting the titanium package from zephyr paintball but I was told from someone here on yahoo answers that the belt fed hopper won't keep up with the blitz. Would the halo too work? And what about Co2 canisters? Is this a good deal: http://www.zephyrpaintball.com/product/AZDN-2060-00001/Azodin-Blitz-Gold-Paintball-Gun-Package---Orange--Black.html-
ANSWER:
Any electric hopper will work for you. You might need to upgrade your feedneck to an adjustable feedneck so that you can fit any kind of hopper on your marker. Halo TOO is nice but i don't think it can fit on the standard blitz feed neck. (i don't own a blitz but if somebody does have one or used one, please by all mean correct me)If you dont feel like or have the fund to spend that extra money for the adjustable feedneck (they probably cost around ~50), you can always sand down the feedneck part of the hopper but don't sand down too much or it could get weak break off.
Hope it works out for you. ^^

QUESTION:
Is the tippman A-5 a good intermediate gun.?
I have been paintballing about 8 times. I am on the lower level of intermediate. I am planning on buying the tippmann A-5. Is that a good gun for me. I dont want an electric marker because i dont have the experience or time to repair it.(my last one broke on first day of usage after 2 games). If i buy this gun i plan on keeping it for a long time and buying upgrades like E-Grip, barrels, internal parts and stuff like that. Is this the right move for an intermediate player. I have about an 0 budged but i also need a pod pack, and thermal mask(i already have a Co2 tank), so as of now my budget fits perfectly. I am going to purchase all this at zephyr paintball and just wanted some last minute advice before i spend 250 bucks.-
ANSWER:
Since you're not comfortable with electronic markers yet, then yes that is a good buy for you.

And what about Co2 canisters? Is this a good deal: http://www.zephyrpaintball.com/product/AZDN-2060-00001/Azodin-Blitz-Gold-Paintball-Gun-Package---Orange--Black.html
Gold package it is then! Does it look better in orange/silver or orange/black? And have you got a barrel replacement recommendation?-
ANSWER:
Whaaat?? The Halo feeds like a beast, it's plenty fast for the Blitz. The titanium package only includes a plain gravity fed hopper, and that won't feed fast enough. But the gold package you just linked comes with the Invert Halo Too, and that's gonna be more than enough.

Camping can be very stressful. Don’t let the stress get in the way of having fun and spending quality time with your family. Here are some stress-free camping tips that you can do to avoid any trouble.
Before going to a camping trip, check the rules and regulations of the camp site you are going to. Some forests and camp sites do not allow camping stoves to be used during fire danger periods. It’s better to check before your trip if the camp site allows camp fires and barbeques.
To avoid any kind of accident, keep your fire levels moderate. You do not need a raging fire to cook your food or keep you warm. Never leave a campfire or a stove unattended and avoid using cooking stoves when it is really windy. Keep your cooking area clean from flammable materials like matches, propane and papers. If you have children with you on the trip, remind them to not get too close to the fire and impose a three feet fire zone for them. Always have pot holders ready whenever you’re cooking. Keep water in hand to extinguish the fire or if you have one, bring a portable fire extinguisher. Do not set up your tent near the camp fire. Make sure your tent is flame retardant.
Do not over pack; over packing takes up a lot of tent space. If you’re going on a four day trip then bring clothes set for two days. Remember to bring a light jacket, warm sweater, shorts, shirts, pants and extra underwear. If you want to go hiking, bring hiking boots. Plan a camping menu so you know what food to bring and what to prepare during the time of day. Bring non-perishable food like bread and nuts. Store your perishables in a cooler filled with ice. Keep your meals simple and at the same time add your kids’ favorite meals. If you want to choose an easy way out, drive to the nearest fast food or burger joint and have your meals there.
Bring board games and sports equipment like Frisbee, soccer ball and baseball equipment. Also bring toys and books for the kids. Create a little play area near your camp site. Bring a fishing pole and teach your kids how to catch fish.
Spray your tent with rain resistant solution and bring an additional tarp to provide cover and shade. Make sure the tent is large enough to accommodate everyone going to the trip and have enough space for the equipment. Assign tasks to the children. Include them in the planning process. Have them help you in setting up the tent, cooking food and cleaning utensils. This way they can be part of the camping process and at the same time learn how to do different things. By doing this, they feel that they are important. As an adult, remember to supervise small children at all times to avoid any accidents. Do everything as a family. Bring swim suits and swimming gear if there’s a lake or ocean nearby. Take a nature hike.
Remember to have fun and enjoy the goodness of nature and also teach your kids about the importance of taking care of nature.

Whether you’re planning a weekend waterskiing on Diamond Lake, hiking the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail, or just soaking up the sun and enjoying the waves at one of Oregon’s beautiful beaches, there are plenty of camping opportunities for tents and RVs in Oregon.
Along Oregon’s northern coast, camping is abundant at a variety of state parks, national parks, and private campgrounds. Enjoy horseback riding, kayaking, or fishing while camping among the beautiful wildlife of Nehalem Bay State Park. Primitive camping for small aircraft is available near an airstrip, as well as sites for hikers, bicyclists, and horse camping. This Oregon camping facility also features 265 electrical sites that accommodate RVs up to 60 feet long and 18 yurts, small, furnished, circular huts that sleep 5 people.
If you’re thinking of combining a weekend of Oregon coast camping with some off road fun on the beach, Sandbeach Campground is the ideal location. Pack up your ATVs and your favorite Coleman family camping tent and get your campsite early because these are on a first come, first serve basis. Choose from one of the three developed campgrounds and camp on the beach if you like.
The central Oregon coast offers plenty of camping activities as well. Two hour kayaking tours along Beaver Creek make South Beach State Park a popular Oregon coast camping destination. From fishing, windsurfing, or just enjoying the beauty of the Pacific coast, camping at South Beach State Park is a great getaway. Camp in one of the 27 yurts or enjoy an electrical campsite with wi-fi access.
Bullards Beach State Park, along the southern Oregon coast, is a terrific family camping destination. Visit the Coquille Lighthouse, hike or bike through the beautiful coastal dunes full of wildlife, or enjoy a day of boating on the peaceful Coquille River. There are plenty of family activities nearby and you can choose from one of the shaded campsites with full hookups, a comfortable yurt, or even a horse camping site with beach access.
Camping in central Oregon isn’t quite as abundant as the coast, but it is just as much fun. The Deschutes River State Recreation Area is a favorite campground for kayakers, hikers, and equestrians. The 34 electric campsites, 25 primitive sites, and restrooms are perfect for a weekend of horseback riding or enjoying the rapids of the scenic Deschutes River, whether in a kayak, inner tube, or jet ski.
The only state park in the Portland area that offers camping, Milo McIver State Park, is a beautiful outdoor retreat that provides plenty of fun for the entire family. The Milo McIver campground is small and secluded with 9 designated tent camping sites and 44 electric sites and there is a wide array of programs and exhibits available through the park. Visitors can enjoy hiking, horseback riding, or playing disc golf. The scenic Clackamas River is perfect for canoeing and rafting, and there are several picnic areas with gorgeous views.
From Oregon’s most scenic waterways to the tranquil Oregon coast, camping in Oregon is always fun for everyone. Relax by the shore, hike a scenic trail, or kayak Oregon’s whitewater. Whatever your favorite camping activities, Oregon’s state parks have something for you!

Where To Play Paintball
Fencing is a game in which two players try to push each other up and down a fencing strip with light flashing off their blades as they thrust, parry, attack and evade each other. In a broader sense fencing is a art formed by involving cutting, stabbing and bludgeoning weapons, the two warriors hit each other by swords, knives, pikes, bayonets, batons or some other weapon like this. Know this sport has grown up to be more for gentleman and ladies then fierce warriors of old. There are certain characteristics that this sport requires for the participants like co-ordination, speed, agility.
Now there are three types of fencing swords, there is the Foil, the Epee and the Saber. Each type of fencing sword has game rules that differ. The Foil has the most basic rules. Epee is the only on that any part of the body is the target. Saber is the only one where you could slash your opponent and it counts as a touch.
Fencing can be engaged on two levels as an exercise or as a competitive sport. There are several steps that are involved in developing basic skills of the game like learning basic moves, practicing on footwork, concentrating on technique and engaging on bouts.
Fencing as an exercise is actually one of the best work outs people could do it helps strengthen leg muscles and increase peoples cardio. Also helps with eye and hand coordination.
Fencing tournaments differs in their format, and there are both types of competition, individual and team competitions. Fencing has a violent history which demands physical and mental acuity as well. A successful fencer should be able to mount powerful driving attacks, of making subtle and crafty defenses and that too with in a fraction of second. In fencing strength alone won't suffice participant needs to have a paramount intellect. A good fencer needs to be clever with unwavering concentration and should be able to conceive and execute calculated moves quickly. There are many fencing clubs around at local colleges and universities. Also some fencing clubs both private and open to the public which involves a membership fee.
Fencing has been a sport for centuries and it is only one of the four sports to have been contested in Olympics since 1896. Fencing is a great sport which welcomes swashbucklers of all the ages. Fencing is the one sport which gives you a choice whether you want to win by power or by guile.
By learning fencing children learns self discipline, respect for others, honesty and fair play and these are the characteristics which are transferable to any endeavor and help to create a well rounded person with a character. In fencing a maximum of politeness and humbleness is always observed while competing with others. Many universities have fencing clubs and scholarships including Ivy League Schools Harvard and Yale.
All in all fencing is not only a sport but it is about attitude as well and those who participate in it can profoundly affect their lives!

I really want to learn how to play paintball, Where to start?
Alright im a girl(guess that doesn't really matter), but anyways im really interested in learning to play paintball. But i have a feeling ill be horrible and i don't want to blow a ton of money right up front, is there any easy ways to start learning, where im not gonna look like a fool who doesn't know what theyre doing. Because honestly i don'thaha thanks
-
ANSWER:
PBnation.com has a New Player section that explains a lot. Just read the stickies (stickies are threads/posts that are permanently "stuck" at the top, above all over threads/posts).But the real learning takes place on the field. Find a local paintball field, rent some gear, and play with the walk-ons (recball). Take what you learn on pbnation & apply it to the game.
It helps knowing someone who already plays and doesn't mind taking time to teach you, but only if they're good at teaching in the first place. You could ask for pointers from referees before/after a game or ask who the regulars are and ask them for help.
You can also check out paintball videos, some of them give helpful tips on playing. However, it's rare that you'd be able to find them at Blockbuster or anything so you may be stuck buying some.

QUESTION:
where to play paintball near chapel hill, nc?
does anybody know of any paintball fields near chapel hill? i've never been before and i'd like to take my boyfriend for his birthday. also wondering if it's going to be really extreme or not.. are there any places to just throw paintballs instead of using guns?-
ANSWER:
http://warpig.com/forums/fields/index/pg_North_Carolina.shtml
There's a list of all the paintball fields in NC. Its not going to be insanely extreme, especially if you're new to the game. Basically, if you get hit, it stings for a few minutes and then it stops. I don't think there are any registered fields in Chapel Hill, but look at the site above and maybe there are some near it. And as far as the "throwing" paintball idea, it doesn't quite work like that. Paintballs traveling at 300 fps(feet per second) or about 207 mph usually pop, but occasionally don't. So the chances of a paintball popping when thrown at 40 mph are pretty slim. Hope this helped and happy paintballing!!

QUESTION:
Where can I play paintball in Hong Kong?
I am interested in Paintball and want to find others to play with. Specifically, where to buy paintball gear, paintball fields, etc..-
ANSWER:
Your paintball options are limited in Hong Kong, as the law requires you to use .43 caliber paintball ammunition instead of the standard .68 caliber which the rest of the world uses. This means that HKG is almost totally oriented to airsoft BB guns when it comes to playing outdoors with like minded people.
However, if you are interested in playing paintball, there is a place called Paintball HQ in Kowloon which has an indoor field. You must book and pay in advance, and can not just walk in on a game. So it is best to have at least 10 people organized to use Paintball HQ.
As for casual paintballing, there is a group on facebook called "Hong Kong Paintball" these are individuals who are promoting the sport in HKG. It is not a bad place to start if you are looking for paintball markers, or people to play with.
Mongkok in Kowloon has several specialty shops dedicated to airsoft equipment. Try Dundas street, if you are looking for general gear like face masks and padding.

QUESTION:
What is the minimum age to play paintball?
How old can you be to play paintball and where can you get paintball guns so me and my nephew can go play.-
ANSWER:
- You can play at any age (though under 8 or 9 it NOT recommended). And for the getting of paintball guns, any local store (Wal-Mart, Target, etc.) will sell beginner guns. I would personally recommend a Tippmann 98 Custom as the first gun for you and your nephew as they are extremely well built and will last you for literally your entire paintball career, unless you choose to get more serious about it.

I am going to get a paintball gun but I want to play woodsball and it gets cold where I live and I don't have any where to play indoors. I was wondering how cold I could go out before the gun starts not working or something.-
ANSWER:
Most guns made in the last 5-10 years have solved any problems older guns had in the cold. You are better off with HPA over Co2 in most cases, but it's usually not a problem with Co2 and an expansion chamber and anti-siphon tank. If it is below freezing, try to keep your Co2 tank warm and make sure you have an expansion chamber so you won't risk freezing your gun's internals and doing any damage- or better yet, just run HPA.I have played in 20-30 degree weather many times, and the only problems you are likely to have is paint that bounces instead of breaking, because of the colds effect on the paintball shell and all the extra layers of clothes people wear.
Some winter brands of paint include: RPS Polar Ice, Fuego Freeze, Empire/Ramp Blizzard, Draxxus Arctic Inferno, Origin Winter formula, and DXS Frostbite. My faves are the Polar Ice and Frostbites, but they all seem to do well in winter.
Look here for more info and to buy winter 'balls -

QUESTION:
where are some good places to play paintball in Atlanta?
It will be me and a group of 20 hoping to have some fun. I don't think many are pro's or anything so if we could play just ourselves that would be fine. It would be awesome if there were some cool courses and fun games that they had too. If there were maybe some woods courses and "village-looking" places and some others that would be cool. I liked the one back in illinois where they had a village, woods, trails in the woods kinda where you played a capture the flag type game, and this one with lots of old broken down cars. If there is something like that that would be cool. Also, what would the price of all this be?-

QUESTION:
I live in san francisco Ca, does anyone who lives nearby know where theres a good place to play paintball?
im tryin to find like an open field of land where u can just play paintball without having trouble with residents or police......maybe like an isolated fireld or abandoned place, it doesnt have to be in SF but maybe near its surronding cities like daly city, san bruno, and so on......-
ANSWER:
You should just go to painball jungle, it's easier, safer, and you'll be sure to have fun with no worries.
http://www.paintballjungle.com/
http://www.paintballjungle.com/pages/faq2002.html#4There doesn't seem to be any BLM land anywhere around the Bay Area, which would be ideal, though there are plenty of state parks and forests in the East Bay and South. Even an isolated and empty beach could be a paintball area.
Making sure you don't make a mess, don't alter the environment, and endanger any other people, you probably won't have any trouble from cops or rangers, I suspect they'd let you off with a warning the first time if you're not a jerk about it.
You might ask the people at the local paintball store in San Francisco, SF Paintball Center http://www.yelp.com/biz/gPZ2tw-4cYX1QkX-A3iNPg?hrid=BLm9rOC3eCAPXTl_Ai13DQ
We were just up to Muir Woods a couple months back and there's a huge open area, part of Mt Tamalpais state park, around the Muir Woods Road West to Stinson Beach past the Coastal Fire Road, which is a trail, and south around the Dias Ridge Fire Road and beyond, kind of on a hillside, but scrub bushes and forest and mostly free of popular trails. where is a good outdoor area to camp and play paintball in south louisiana?
planning a camping trip for mid-march...would like to camp, fish, and play paintball outdoors.-
ANSWER:
I am not sure of any place that you can do all of those things on the same property but I can reccomend two fields in South Louisiana. First and foremost is Shellshocked Paintball ( www.shellshockedpaintball.com ) in Houma. Second would have to be Bayou Dragons Paintball ( www.bayoudragon.com ) in Marrero. You can find a place to Camp and Fish in either of these two area's. Houma will give you a larger selection of camping area's as it is more rural. Marrero is on the westbank of new orleans and I don't really know of any campgrounds around here.Hope this helps.

I want to play paintball in allendale, beregen county, new Jersey, where could I play? i have never played before? Or anykind of real life shooting. I do not own any kind of gun, where could I play? I know this is funny but is there like a lazer tag team in NY sports club or something? Willing to travel far. And i need to probably rent a gun. I am small and in middle school.-
ANSWER:
Paintball is a common and growing sport. I would deffinetly bet there are fields in New Jersey. Every decent field has rental guns. There is always a minimum age, like 13 or 15 maybe. And by the way, lazer tag sucks. It is no where near the rush of paintball.

QUESTION:
I need to find a local paintball area where i can fill my cans with CO2?
I live in a smallish town called Solvang, CA, which is near Santa Barbara, CA. The closest paintball area is called The Shack Paintball Field and is in Lompoc, CA. This area is about to close. I need to know a place where i can fill my CO2 canisters, purchase equipment, and play paintball.-
ANSWER:
You'll have to do what many other players had to do in your situation - go farther to play. Find the next closest field to play. Find the next closest store to shop at. Or do your shopping online.I've got friends that drive from SF to Davis every weekend or every other weekend here in norcal to play. And most of them buy used gear, so there isn't always a lot of traveling associated with that.
For co2 fills, see if your local fire station will do it for you. The same folks that fill fire extinguishers can fill paintball co2 tanks, with the right equipment.

QUESTION:
Do you play paintball?
Please answer all parts to get 10 points:
1. Do you play paintball?
2. Where do you live? (City, State)
3. What kind of gun/marker do you have?-
ANSWER:
I do play paintball. i have been playing for a few years now. the closts field to me is Hit and Run Paintball in Mansfield, TX although i live in arlington. i have a tippmann 98 custom. i chose it because it was the best gun on the market and personally i still think it is. because you can literally put it through hell and it still works like new. also it has a great range of 150 feet of accuracy without losing much velocity. the third and final reason i cohes it is because you can customize it enough to compete with those 1000 dollar cockers and still beat them without spending 500 dollars (after you get all the upgrades you want on it you still wont be paying 1000 including the kit price). i reccommend it to anyone who is new becasue of those three reasons

Seeing as you didn't provide the name of the gun or the condition, I can't give a good appraisal. The specs make it sound like a Spyder marker though, so I would guess less than 0.Oh, a Pilot ACS. I'd try to sell the gun alone for 0-0, and then the gear that you're selling with it might bring it up to 0-0 if you get a good offer.
No, A Fasta will not feed 30 bps. A Pinokio will feed 30 bps, and you're paying 0 for that.

Top Paintball Sniper
The sniper rifle called the Dragunov SVD is the weapon of choice by the very people who make the high-powered rifle. The semi-automatic weapon is the semi-automatic weapon of choice by the Soviet army. The gun is operated by gas and is significantly different than other semi-automatic guns which have been choice weapons in the past by many different militaries.
The AK and AKM guns did show some similarities to the Dragunov SVD such as the gas recovery components as well as the bolt arrangements. The 7.62 cartridges which this high-powered rifle uses is one that allows it to be in a stand alone category of semi-automatic guns because the gun cartridges are not used in other rifles such as the AK and AKM.
Dragunov SVD has some other features many gun-oriented individuals will search for now that the Dragunov SVD has spoiled them to the features. For example, this gun has an open butt stock and a cheek pad which is favored when used for sighting and it is now a common feature which is desired in many semi-automatic weapons.
There's a telescopic sight mounted over the receiver and other features which appeal to people who find the Dragunov SVD the SUV among all semi-automatic weapons.
The army of the Soviet Union would issue this high-powered rifle with four magazines for operational uses and they would also issue the gun with cleaning accessories and a battery as well as a light for enhanced telescopic sight.
The Dragunov SVD is quick as it well should be given the category for which it is considered. The gun fires 30 rounds each minute in use. The range of 1300 meters far exceeds some of its competition.
Gun limitations of the Dragunov SVD are that of ammunition restrictions. The gun can only fire light and heavy ball ammunition with complete gun to target precise hits. Close proximity to the target places the shooter at a disadvantage using this gun and best serves the shooter who is not in close combat situations.
Dragunov SVD is truly the Cadillac weapon of choice among many Soviet military soldiers and officers because of its reliability and accuracy when used with the appropriate ammunition. The weapon can be used in many combative situations, but again, close combat is discouraged for this weapon. The gun is a light weight which serves soldiers well who take this gun into combat.

QUESTION:
A cheap paintball sniper?
heres the paintball sniper:
http://www.paintball-online.com/shop/JT-Tac-5-Stealth-Sniper-Paintball-Marker-Set_prod_GNJTAC5SSbut were do you put the loader, on the top? if so,how would i snipe with the hopper in my way? please help and answer quick!
-
ANSWER:
Alright first off "sniper" is a person who snipes, okay? Second you put the "loader (aka hopper, which you used later in the post, but not there?) in the tube like thing on top of the gun, and to snipe with it on top, you simply look down the sides of the gun.Alright, I'll tell you right now no paintball gun is a real "sniper rifle". They all shoot relatively close to the same, based on price and quality, and so therefore, anything that says "sniper" on it, whether it be gun or barrel, really isn't any more of a sniper than other barrels with their quality. Accuracy and range is based on a paint-barrel match. Sometimes your gun may surprise you and work best with cheaper paint, you just have to look around.

QUESTION:
what should i do to make a paintball sniper?
hello everybody, i currently own an upped ion with a bunch of after market stuff in it and an old Tippmann 98. i've been looking at buying or converting one of my guns into a sniper rifle. i really like the spec ops longbow, but it has been discontinued. i like how it has no hopper on the top and has a stock. i currently have a freak barrel and might just buy a 20" tactical front for it but would prefer to have a devoted sniper. if someone could tell me where to get some awesome sniping stuff for the Tippmann (eg. barrel, stock, and special hopper) that would be awesome. anywhere they are selling a longbow or blackcell kitwould rock to.-
ANSWER:
Snipe? good luck with that. Paintball markers are not accurate enough to snipe with. Nor do they shoot far enough. A 20" barrel doesn't help it actually slows the ball down. It makes your shots more consistent and accurate at shot distance but with a barrel that long you put to much drag on the ball and your ball will start to drop down a lot sooner and most of the time will not break. There isn't much you can do.A stock will give you a good hold and brace on your marker so you can have a steady shot.
For tippmann the flatline barrel works great for those longer shots. For all the other markers made the apex barrel works good if it is on a all american or freak barrel.
Special hopper don't really need one because if you are trying to snipe your not going to be shooting that much or fast. A gravity fed loader works fine. If you want you can use a electronic loader like an invert too but its not needed.
The blackcell mod is not made anymore hasn't been made for over a year. You can find some people selling used ones and some new ones on ebay but it is very rear. Longbow is the same thing as blackcell. Im not sure but i think those r not made either.
Tippmanns are good to try and make into a sniper just because there are a lot of mods out there. Another good one is the sp-1. Ion not so much because there are not many mods but it is a good marker and you can try to snipe with it. I have had people do it. Just sniping isn't about trying for those long shots. Its really about stealth and trying to get the guy to get as close as you can without him noticing you. And sniping is really boring. I do it and you wait there for a whole game most of the time and dont shoot a single shot.

Also if you find any good targets that are a reasonable size please send me the link. For a paintball gun only. Thankyou
-
ANSWER:
A 20 inch barrel is a waste of money. Any barrel over 16 inches starts to create drag so the extra length actually hurts instead of helps. All the barrels are promising, you just have to find the right ammo to feed them. Try samples of several different brands of paint until you find one that works. For a little extra oomph, use car wax inside the barrel and buff it out. You'll be amazed how well it works.

QUESTION:
Which Pump Paintball Marker to Purchase?
Im fairly new to paintballing, being into it for around a couple months.
I recently tried out my friend pump marker, and loved the feel of it a lot more than an electric. Dont ask me why, just a personal preference I guess. Anyways, im now very interested in purchasing a pump of my own, the only question is which one...Currently, on the top of my list, is the V2 Mini Sniper. The gun has solid reviews, and over all seems like the best bang for my buck.
However im also looking at others, like phantom, etc etc....If anyone can back up the V2, or suggest any others, it would be highly appreciated.
Also, my price range isnt too high, looking for NO higher than 0, and that being the Highest at that. Thanks in advance!
-
ANSWER:
The V2 is a nice rig, no doubts about it. Phantoms are pretty good too (and still hand built). Being a Cocker guy, I'd go for the V2. But if I were you, I'd keep my eye out down the road for a good mechanical Autococker. You'd probably like the feel of those too.I've been playing for twenty years.

QUESTION:
dream about bf and x-bf, and dying?
In this dream , i was on vacation with a few friends and my folks, and an aunt. My firends and I were staying in a trailer and my folks were in the trailer next door. I remember going in the trailer, and going all the way to the back , where there was some sort of moat, where you could pay a dollar to fish. Then the dream changed a bit, I was in a store, kinda like built like a lowe's but had all the stuff walmart has. I was there with my ex boyfriend, Todd, we were there to buy paintball stuff because he and I were gonna play paintball, I was over looking at guns, shotguns, and then I went over and I was shopping for movies for my current boyfriend. I found a few, and then i went and joined my ex boyfriend across the store, he and I got into and argument, and I threw the movies down, and walked away from him , and i was walking toward the checkout lanes to leave and I had someone up on top of a shelf, shooting at me, so i shot back and killed her, but no one saw, so i ran out to my car, it was white with camo windows, and I drove away. Then i was back at the trailer and my friends were mad at me for some reason, and my folks and aunt agreed with them, and we were all arguing, and then i got shot, from afar, like it was a sniper that shot me, and i was laying there bleeding out, and my current boyfriend was standing over me, watching me die, and having no emotion. Then i woke up. Can you give your thoughts on what this might mean?-
ANSWER:
You may feel like your current boyfriend does not care enough and show that he would miss you if you left his life for some reason. You have not gotten all the bad feeling about your ex out of your system. Your ex seemed to be into aggressive type activities. Your current boyfriend seemed more into regular entertainment. One does have to be careful not to get into the line of fire of negative type people. It always pays to be vigilent and aware of ones surroundings. You feel like sometimes your friends and relatives gang up on you and get mad at your behavior for not the best reasons. You certainly did not stay long in the vacation part of the dream with your friends and family. You may just be the restless type who can not stay in one place for to long.Meditate/pray, do mind-body or other exercise(not excessively), eat healthy, and get enough rest, so that you will stay strong spiritually so as to be able to keep more harmony in your life.

Top Rated Paintball Gun
The Colt Defender stands out in quality and performance. It's light compared to the actual Colt Defender Lightweight without any ammo. This Umarex replica does not look exactly like the real Colt Defender, but instead looks like a compact variant of the real Colt 1911A1 with a Picatinny rail in front of the trigger.
On the package of the Defender, the icons on the front and back give a full description of the construction, capabilities, features, ammo, power and expected velocity. Inside the package, you will find the manual of the Defender. Please read the manual before use and be sure to adhere to all safety information listed in the packaging.
When loading 12g CO2 capsules into the Defender, the chamber is accessed by pushing in the magazine release on the left side of the grip. The grips slide back revealing access on the left side. A spring tensioned folding half disk head screw extends from the bottom of the frame. You open it as indicated and rotate it counter clockwise to lower the dished head and insert a CO2 cartridge. Umarex brand CO2 capsules are recommended because they seal better and are food grade, presuming to be a cleaner CO2 source. (for why differences in CO2 quality make such a big difference in gun performance, see this article) Use RWS oil as indicated. You tighten the screw by rotating clockwise until the CO2 capsule is pierced and seals.
If you flip the air pistol over you will see a follower on the right side. It slides down to a locking notch, allowing you to load 16 BB's in the beveled area. Release the follower to apply tension for loading then slide the grips forward until they latch. Slide the grips forward until they latch and the air gun is in a loaded condition with CO2 power available.
On Page three of the included manual, checking to see if the air gun is unloaded is mentioned. While you can verify the air pistol is loaded with the grips closed, with a short segment of the feed slot being visible above the right grip, you cannot be sure it is not loaded if even no BB's are visible in the area. The follower is visible, but there may be one or more BB's above. DO NOT assume the air pistol is unloaded just because you do not see a BB in the feed slot! After it is first loaded, presume a BB is there but not visible, even when it stops releasing BB's during firing. One may be hung up and fire the next time you squeeze the trigger. After the first time it is loaded, this air gun should be treated as always loaded.
I found the RWS premimum BB's worked best for consistent feeds and velocities. At a rated 440 fps, which I exceeded at 447 fps through the Chrony, this air pistol shoots faster than many BB air rifles. Keep this and the 325 yard rated range in mind, using a safe back stop and a clear area behind the target. Follow the directions in the manual. They are very good about backstops and range safety. As the manual states; BB's are also prone to ricochet, always have everyone with you wear adequate eye protection and be aware of anything to the sides or behind you that might be damaged, as well as what is in front of you or beyond the target.
The safety is on the right side just above the forward part of the trigger guard. Note the Press, you push in to release and slide back to remove the safety. A white safe dot is covered and the red fire dot is revealed as the safety is slid. The air gun is now ready to fire. It is double action only. The hammer is molded on and does not move. The barrel actually moves forward as you squeeze the trigger. At sear release it falls back against the valve venting the CO2 and firing a BB. Push in and move the safety slide forward to re-activate the safety. Parts sometimes fail. Even with the air gun on Safe do not point it at anyone or anything you do not intend to shoot!
The molded screws make the rear sight seem adjustable. It is not, nor can the sight be drifted, the dovetail mount is a solid molding. The front sight is also fixed. The sights were not a problemthe Defender I received was accurate right out of the package.
You can mount an adjustable laser sight using the Picatinny mount forward of the trigger guard. I installed the Walther FLR 650 light-laser combination to provide a laser for shooting without bringing up the sights and the light for shooting in low light or dark conditions. This laserlight system works well out to the effective 10 meter range of the Colt Defender. The system has the laser in the center of six LED's. There are three functions accessible by sequentially pressing the activation button on the right; laser, laser with lights and lights only. Pressing the button a fourth time turns the system off. Do not store on with the right side down. I have found the system will activate with movement in a case and you will run down the batteries without knowing it. You also reduce the life of the laser and can remove the air gun from a case with the laser on. This can be a problem since the laser is dangerous when focused on human eyes. The FLR 650 does make the air pistol muzzle heavy, but is no real deterrent to accurate shooting.
The Umarex Colt Defender seems to be a composite of similar Colt's or an issue I have not seen. The biggest differences between it and the actual firearm seem to be the flat rear adjustable sights, the lack of an extended beaver tail grip safety and the tang versus solid trigger and the Umarex has a Picatinny rail mount under the muzzle. I do not have a problem with these differences and found the Umarex Colt Defender well worth the money. The differences in this gun are more than the Umarex Beretta M92 pellet pistol, which is almost perfect, but it is still a great gun to own and easy to shoot. Overall, I feel that you are getting a great value for your money.
The Umarex Colt Defender CO2 BB Repeater is a joy to shoot and very well constructed. I find it easy to load new CO2 12 gram powerlets and BB's. It is a nice solid replica air pistol that I would recommend you buy to start or add to your collection.
Umarex air pistols, like this realistic looking Colt Defender are meant to enhance your replica collection and provide a reasonably accurate BB pistol for target shooting and plinking.

QUESTION:
Best kind of paintball gun?
Just need to know the top rated paintball guns, and what would he nice to buy, stickiest of the icky like I think spyder? I've herd alot about spyder-
ANSWER:
First thing you should consider is your budget. How much can you afford to spend on Paintball? Take that total and take off 0. That 0 will need to go towards a mask a hopper and an air tank. With whatever's left you can then decide on what marker you want.I recommend for beginners Azodin Kaos, Azodin Blitz, or Tippmann 98 Custom or A5. I prefer the Azodin because they're lighter and more useful on speedball and woodsball fields. These markers are nice for beginners because they are easy to maintain and won't break the bank.
Above them I'd recommend Empire Axe/Invert Mini (basically the same), Proto matrix Rail, or Dangerous power series. They all run about 0-0 retail. You can get most of them used for good prices on Craigslist so I'd bargain hunt for all your equipment.
EDIT: Oh yeah, Spyder isn't that great.

QUESTION:
What is the difference for different paintball guns in general ?
They are all able to shoot the same distance so what is the difference in different paintball guns? Top rating to best answer!-
ANSWER:
The main differance is the kind of paintball the gun is disigned for.Theirs speedball guns which are designed for rapid fire and quick easy manuverability. These guns are small and light but require much more maintenance. They are easily recognizable as they all have a very similare body shapes.
On the other side of paintball theirs woodsball guns which range greatly in size and designs which are often reflecting real life guns. These guns are usually more reliable and are made to take abuse. For example Tippmanns are often considered as the most reliable marker (gun) on the market. They also have a incredable range of accesories and upgrades, so you can go from a basic semi auto gun to a full auto gun with endless upgrades

QUESTION:
What is the difference between these 2 paintball guns?
The Ben Tippman BT4 Combat VS. Tippman Platinum 98 Act? Explain differences between these 2 paintball guns. Top rating to best answer! Thanks.-
ANSWER:
Well the guy who says not to get either and to buy a spyder...not the best advice, if your planning on just playing rec or just small games for fun a tippmann is your best bet, they never break and besides you dont need to shoot fast if you can aim, then you can get a kill in 2 or 3 shots instead of unloading 10bps just to hit 1 person. Anyways, the bt4 and the 98 custom are just about the same general thing. The bt4 however is easier to field strip and easier to change from mech to electric (although the 98 is pretty easy too). The 98 custom also has ACT which is anti chop technology; meaning that if a ball is only half way in the gun when it is fired, it wont break the ball.I suggest the 98 custom since it is much more well know than the bt4 and has more upgrades.

QUESTION:
Which paintball gun is better?
Tippman 98 or 08 Piranha GTI with eyes and rampage board? Explain. Top rating to best answer. Thanks!-
ANSWER:
Tippmann 98C will be better for woodsball. The 08 Piranha GTI is not nearly as reliable or upgradable as the 98C and the safety switch on them is flimsy (not safe). Due to its design, the 08 Piranha GTI will be a bit better for speedball.
The Tippmann 98C is the AK47 of paintball guns being virtually indestructible, highly upgradable, and reliable.
I've had my 98C for just over 7 years now and put about 500,000 shots though it and only just recently replaced a sear and hammer spring. Has always worked perfectly.
The 08 Piranha GTI won't last nearly as long.

QUESTION:
Is this a good paintball gun?
08 Piranha GTI with eyes and rampage board? Top rating to best answer. Thanks!-
ANSWER:
The piranha is a cheap spyder clone that that isnt durable, and barely upgradeable and inaccurate stock. if you want a STB (stacked tube blowback) just spring for a used spyder (although i wouldnt recommend that either)I suggest buying a PMR (proto matrix rail) for about 275, its well worth the money, awsome stock and even better upgraded, the only downside is you need to run it off low pressure air (i think its something like 200 psi stock! really good!) which can be costly to setup (small tanks are over 70 bucks alone).

QUESTION:
How much would you suggest that I sell my paintball gun for?
Since there is not a Kellly Blue Book for paintball guns to estimate the rate of depreciation that might occur over a given amount of time, I would like to call upon you, if i may.
These are the specifics of the paintball gun which I purchased last fall, brand new:
-Tippmann X7 with E-Grip
-M16 barrel shroud
-M16 handle (Top rail mount)
-Commando Air-Thru-Stock
-14" M4 Opposing Force Barrel (Ops Gear)
-TechT Cyclone Feed upgrade (Vortex Mod)
-M4 Front sight (Made from 6061-T6 aircraft grade aluminum)
-Remote
-Low Profile Hopper
-Stock MagazineThe E-Grip and Vortex Mod has never been used although the gun has been used about 3 times. The E-Grip and Vortex were bought just recently. I have had about 600 rounds through it, and after every use has been full stripped and oiled. I have all the boxes that came with every aftermarket part. This marker is in perfect condition.
If I might ask for those who have a realistic answer, what might you sell this gun for if it were yours to do so?-
ANSWER:
Go to http://www.x7og.net and pick the brains of fellow X7 owners. They will point you in the right direction.

o btw yes it does feed 30 bps and holds 200+ balls-
ANSWER:
Seeing as you didn't provide the name of the gun or the condition, I can't give a good appraisal. The specs make it sound like a Spyder marker though, so I would guess less than 0.Oh, a Pilot ACS. I'd try to sell the gun alone for 0-0, and then the gear that you're selling with it might bring it up to 0-0 if you get a good offer.
No, A Fasta will not feed 30 bps. A Pinokio will feed 30 bps, and you're paying 0 for that.

It's a good beginner gun that takes CO2 and shoots fast. But if you want to spend the few extra dollars, you'd be better off with a Proto SLG or Smart Parts Epiphany because they shoot a little bit faster. However, those guns only use nitrogen. But it's only about for a Steel Nitro Tank.Hope this helps.

Top Paintball Sites
Even though paintball is not a completely new sport, it has seen remarkable growth in recent years. The gear used for the sport has continued to improve ranging from the paintball guns used to the attire each combatant wears. When it comes to what to wear, one type of clothing that has continued to gain ground among ardent paintballers is the paintball ghillie suit. If you are going to be playing paintball frequently especially competitively, then the ghillie suit is one piece of clothing you want to have as part and parcel of your battle kit.
The origins of the ghillie suit can be traced back to Scottish shepherds and game wardens who would use used the suits as camouflage when hunting and as cover from poachers respectively. The suits are nowadays used by the military, hunters and of course by paintballers. The ghillie suits are made using net, camouflage design and synthetic or actual vegetation. The ghillie suit takes blending in with your environment one step further than the traditional camouflage on combat uniforms thanks to the leafy' and bushy' appearance.
As far as use in a paintball game goes, the paintball ghillie suit you choose should be based on the outdoor environment in which you play most often. There are different patterns to choose from with each meant to blend with a particular environment. Of course there is nothing that prevents you from using it in several types of environment and still be able to achieve a considerable amount of camouflage from your adversary.
One type of suit is the traditional woodsball style ghillie suit. It is most ideal when one is playing in a forest environment. The suits are characterized by bark-like patterns and covered with dried or synthetic leaves and grass. Then there is the mossy suit. The mossy suits work best in areas where the high amounts of moisture and humidity mean that there is a high prevalence of moss. The suit consists of a number of blends of bold green color with a little bit of black sometimes included for maximum effect.
If your contests are more frequently held in drier areas, there are two styles that would be the best fit. For semi arid areas where there is some level of vegetation such as dead and dried trees, a timber pattern would be ideal. The suit's olive and tan colors make it almost unrecognizable in an arid woodland. The second alternative for dry areas is the desert style which is meant for desert areas. These light colored suits are the perfect match for areas with tall dry grass or complete desert.
One thing you need to bear in mind is that ghillie suits are very heavy and can thus be very hot. This may be fine for areas with cooler climates even though you will steal have to battle the heat. However, the heat you experience in warm climates will be much more and the excessive sweating can leave you dehydrated and less effective in your game.
The ordinary full ghillie suit design is ideal for someone whose paintball game style is that of a sniper since the role does not entail a lot of running around and which would be a drag when someone has such a heavy suit on. On the other hand if you take on a more active paintball role, you may prefer a shorter ghillie suit or one that is made with just ghillie net as the base. This type of suit will be lighter, cooler and less restrictive during movement.
No matter which style of suit you select, it is crucial that you pay attention to detail when selecting the best paintball ghillie suit for you. Pick a suit that also camouflages your head, shoulders and neck as these are the areas of the body that are most recognizable. The best suits will have (or enable you to fit on your own) high grass accents on the shoulders or on the headgear.
With paintball ghillie suit, your game is bound to improve considerably allowing you to outlast your opponents more than before. Once you start to use the suit, you are not likely to consider entering a paintball battle ground without it.

Customizable paintball gear?
I'm looking for a site that will let me create paintball gear that I can sell at my store. I am looking to create everything from T-shirts to jerseys, barrel plugs, hats, even stickers. This is a huge step forward for my store and would like any info on some top quality sites and companies that may be of assistance.-
ANSWER:
AnimalPaintball.com, they custom make everything paintball-related soft goods you can think of, and do a good job of it, although prices aren't always the lowest. Something simple as CafePress may be a better option for your business; have Animal do just the jerseys and barrel covers.I personally like Paintballer187.com for custom stickers.

QUESTION:
Help with velocitypin and barrel socks for my paintball gun?
I just got a marker and i want to go pbing wit my friend i read the web site and with the velocity pin when i got my gun i uncrewed it a lil so its a lil softer, when it comes on the gun does it come preset at 300? and if it is sticking out of the gun is it below 300?.... also are barrels socks another name for the brightly colered caps u put on the top of your barrel?-
ANSWER:
The fps screw you can change at anytime. No worries on that. just use someones chrono and youll be fine. And barrel socks are called many things. IE Barrel Socks, Barrel Condoms, Covers... If you have a cap that sticks in your barrel, thats called a barrel plug. It does the same thing. I prefer the sock just because its easier to remove, its flexible and if i accidentally shoot paint it wont make as big of a mess in your barrel. Itll just get a bit of paint on the tip that you can rub off.

QUESTION:
New Tippman 98 Flatline Barrel on an old gun?
Got a good deal on a used Tippmann 98 Custom. Looks pretty basic. Anyhow, I want to get a Flatline barrel for it, but specifically the newer version that screws in. Does anyone have the new one? Does it come with JUST the screw in barrel or does it come with rails for the top of the rest of the gun too? I'm worried my gun will look lopsided...Here's pics of what i mean...
Newer Flatline barrel with newer (i assume newer) 98 Custom
http://www.paintball-online.com/sites/paintball/images/images_uw/BRTF98PS_big.jpgOlder version Flatline barrel with 98 custom like mine
http://www.oncallpaintball.com/tippmann%2098%20custom%20Flatline%20Barrel.jpg-
ANSWER:
You want to get the newer quick threaded flatline barrel. It is a lot better quality then the older barrel style. The main difference is the older one the barrel was separate from the threads. This made it so you threaded the thread adaptor onto your marker then slide the flatline barrel into the thread adaptor and tightened it down with screws. Problem with this is it left a sharp barrel end on the inside by the barrel adaptor and it tended to chop paint when a ball hit that hard enough or at the right angle. THe newer barrel is a all one pice barrel so you don't have that sharp edge and the ball goes through it nice and smooth. The new one is just the front part it is just the barrel with the shroud around it. It does not come with the rails like th older model did. You would figure it would look lopsided but it doesn't really. And if you wanted a top rail to match up just go and get the Tippmann Picatinny Tactical Rail or the Rap 4 Tippmann 98 Weaver Sight Rail. This will give you a nice long picatinny/weaver rail on the top of the marker to match with the flatline barrel.

QUESTION:
How would I study for a PhD at my age? Is 27 years old too late?
Basically, I'm 27 years old. I left school after sixth form with some GCSE's and A-levels. I'm now working two part-time jobs, one behind a bar (which I hate), and one at a paintball site near my home. I've simply had enough of working just to survive, especially when it means I'm not getting anything out of it.I spent a lot of time at secondary school being a pain in the backside and messing about and I really wish I hadn't. I chose not to go to university because I didn't want to spend the next 5+ years doing more education. I now realise how much I regret this decision and I want to do something about it, but I'm worried it's now too late.
My IQ is above average and I like to think of myself as a pretty knowledgeable and intelligent guy. I was consistently in the top of my class at school and I've always been interested in science, physics especially. I just want to find out about how I'd go from where I am now to fulfilling my ultimate goal of studying for a PhD.
Any advice would be really appreciated.
-
ANSWER:
First of all, well done you on wanting to move up in the world and achieve your dreams.I think your best bet would be the open university, visit them here: http://www.open.ac.uk/
I have a friend in her 30's who is currently studying a PhD part time while she works full time so it is definitely achievable
Good luck!

Top Paintball Masks
Recreational sports involving airsoft guns have become quite popular in recent years. Events similar to paintball matches are popular, with the difference being the very realistic scenarios combined with air guns that are made to closely resemble popular firearm models. Airsoft pistols, sniper rifles, and shotguns are three categories of these recreational firearms, which fire plastic projectiles using firing systems powered by electric motors.
Air guns shoot BBs at high velocities - high enough to cause injury. Therefore, anyone interested in participating in air gun events must be well-versed in safety.
In airsoft games, players usually work together in teams, and like with paintball events, when someone is hit, they're out. Many of the air guns are modeled on "real steel," or actual gun models, and are even weighted similarly and have similar reloading mechanisms. This makes it easy for players to really get caught up in the drama and excitement that unfold during airsoft recreational events.
The most popular types of air guns are electric powered. They are typically the highest quality airsoft guns, and use rechargeable battery packs to power the electric motors that operate the firing mechanism. One of the biggest advantages of electric-powered air guns, also known as AEGs, or automatic electric guns, is that players can more easily carry spare batteries than they can spare gas canisters for gas powered air guns.
Following all safety protocols is of utmost importance in airsoft gun events. BBs that travel at speeds of hundreds of feet per second definitely hurt when they hit, and if they hit exposed skin or the eyes, they can cause more serious damage. Therefore eye protection is mandatory, and whole face masks are often recommended for those playing these games.
Players should also cover as much exposed skin as is practical, including hands, neck and head. They should also bear in mind that air guns aren't toys and take the precautions they would normally take with real guns. Here are some of the basics of air gun safety.
Treat any airsoft gun as if it were loaded, whether it's a relatively low-powered air pistol or an airsoft Kalashnikov. BBs are small, and it's harder to tell if an air gun is loaded than it is a real gun, so always err on the side of safety.
Never aim an air gun - loaded or not - at something you do not plan to shoot.
Keep the safety on when you're not using your airsoft gun. Once you remove the safety, do not put your finger in the trigger guard until you are ready to shoot.
Before storing your gun, double and triple check that it is unloaded. Store your ammunition separately from your gun.
Always bear in mind that the realistic look of many models makes it harder for law enforcement officers to tell the difference between an air gun and the real thing. They have been mistaken for real guns, and will continue to be. This is one more reason to properly store your air gun before driving to or from events.

QUESTION:
Paintball Masks that can still use sights?
What paintball masks can I use so that I can still use the sights on the top rail of the gun. I have a mask that, when I put it on and lean down to the stock, it holds my head up too high, and I can't see the sights.-
ANSWER:
None are out there made for sights. And really sights are not much use in paintball because markers are not accurate enough to make one of much use. There are rails and stuff that will raise your sight up higher or tilt it to the side so you can look through it easier. They are made for paintball, airsoft, and real guns. There is one that tilts it at a 45 degree angle that works ok. mainly you need to have a picatiny rail or weaver rail on your marker to use one. Look on opsgear.com or any paintball sight. Also you can find them on ebay. Normally you will find the best prices on ebay just look under paintball and you should find them. Most are about .

QUESTION:
Would it be alright if I used my pro flex frames (top part of a paintball mask) as skiing goggles?
I'm going skiing this spring break and was just wondering if there is anything special about skiing goggles or if the pro flex frames will work fine. Here's what they look like for those that don't paintball:
http://www.jtusa.com/?visionsystems=7925Picture is missing the lens and strap but just so you can get a general idea
And please explain why not...-
ANSWER:
I don't know how paintball goggles are made, but ski goggles have double lenses and vents so you don't have fogging issues. The lenses are colored like sunglasses so you don't get blinded by the glare off the snow, and to help you better discern the texture of the snow. UV protection is also included with most goggles now.If you are just going skiing this one time, you can always try wearing regular sunglasses with plastic lenses instead. You don't have to wear goggles, and many people don't. I wear them because I have really watery eyes, and they help keep my face warm too.
-
-
QUESTION:
I was wondering if its advisable to wear a ski mask under a paintball mask?
The ski mask should protect my neck and the top of my head but:
-Will it be too hot wearing it under the paintball mask?
-Will the ski mask absorb the sweat?
-Should i just wear a baseball cap back words?-
ANSWER:
- It can get too hot, yes. Depends on your own tolerance for heat. However, the paintball mask retains your face heat pretty well, despite being ventilated.
- It will absorb sweat but depending on the material, it may not evaporate/dry readily, so it could become uncomfortable. And it could cause fogging problems with the goggle lens.
- Backwards cap is a little better. There's even a padded cap made by 100th Monkey for paintball. But most players opt for a beanie or headwrap instead for head protection.Another downside to a ski mask is it muffles your voice. Communication is VERY important in paintball and it'll be hard to do that if people can't hear you well.
If you want to protect your neck, opt for a bandanna around your neck or one of the actual neck protectors made for paintball. However, no neck covering does well to protect. I'd only suggest neckwear if you're cold.

QUESTION:
Can I use a paintball mask goggle for snowboarding?
I have never snowboarded before so I have no gear and the pb mask kinda looks the same. I have a dye i3 pb goggles and the bottom of the mask comes off so its just goggles. The lens is smoke colored and is darker on top lighter on the bottom. Its either this or just sunglasses. Would this work for snowboarding, is it safe, and would I look like a tool?-
ANSWER:
Maybe. Dont worry about looks, functionality is more important. The only thing I would think could cause a problem is the lens. In ski/snowboard goggles there are always 2 layers in each lens, like a dual-pane window. This is because the big difference in temperature between your face and the cold air outside. If there are not two lenses, you will have serious fogging problems. If you cant see, then you cant snowboard safely. I am assuming paintball goggles are fog-proof, but I dont know how they would react to the cold air. If they are extra flexible you might break them also. I would recommend that you take both your goggle and sunglasses. If it is sunny outside then just wear your sunglasses, forget about the goggles. If it is cloudy,or windy, or bad weather then wear the goggles until they fog up. But you have to wear something to protect your eyes, because if you dont you wont be able to see. If you cant see then dont waste your time, you will eventually get injured.
*You can usually buy cheap snowboard goggles (like ) at places like Big 5. They have some good brands, like Bolle, with rose lenses (the best color for cloudy and bad weather days) for under .

QUESTION:
tactical helmet and paintball helmet?
I've been playing paintball for a few years, and love doing scenario games, and realistic recreations of historic battles. I've been looking into getting a 1/1 scale combat helmet, a replica of what our troops are using now, and I'm wondering if anyone knows, will that fit over top of my paintball mask? I don't have any visors or anything sticking off the top of my paintball mask, so I'm assuming it would fit, but i want a second opinion before i buy a replica combat helmet. The combat helmet is so that me and my paintball team can recreate battles realistically along with as much actual surplus gear as possible, though this combat helmet would only be ABS plastic, but that's fine for paintball, because we're just going for looks with this one.
So simply put, will it fit over a paintball mask?
-
ANSWER:
yes it will fit. You will need to go to the place where you are buying it and bring your mask so you can try it on before buying it. Some of the helmets will fit but you will have to adjust the harness inside. I have a friend that bought a real helmet and we had to try a couple of them on to see which one would fit the best over the mask

QUESTION:
How much does a paintball hurt?
I want to go paintball tomorrow and i need to know how much it hurts, ive collect some old clothes form air soft and this is what I have, V fourse grill mask, Alpha Black, a medium thickness sweat shirt, paintball pants,an a jersey, neck protector, and a swat helmet to go on top of my grill, oh yea and a pair of jeans, is that to much or not enuf? How much will there hurt with that stuff on? Different distances?-
ANSWER:
I'd say that's too much. When I play (whether it be practices or tournaments), I just wear sliding shorts, paintball pants, a tall tee, jersey, elbow pads, knee pads, and a mask. It's most likely going to be hot (regardless of your location), so you might want to reconsider the sweatshirt. The neck protector isn't completely necessary, as shots to the neck don't hurt as bad as people say they do. And the swat helmet and jeans are completely unneccessary. I'd compare the pain to that of someone snapping a hair tie on your skin. It stings for a couple seconds, but then goes away and usually leaves a welt/bruise. I only welt when I get bunkered (from like five feet or less), if that helps.

ANSWER:
For your style of play, you should definitely go with the Tippmann. It will be more robust and less prone to fouling in the dirty conditions of woods ball. Plus, it's a good enough marker that you can use it to play speed ball. Keep in mind though, that most tournaments have banned response triggers so you won't be able to use it. Also, if you want to save some money, ditch the red dot sight and weaver rail. They are completely useless with something as inaccurate as a paintball gun. Same goes for the Flatline barrel. If you want an aftermarket barrel, get one from Smart Parts or something. In the end, it will be more accurate and quieter, which is a big advantage in woods ball.I can't say about the goggles and harnesses, I've never used those particular ones, but if they're comfortable for you, I'm sure they'll work just fine.

QUESTION:
Should i buy a full head protection paintball mask?
I am looking to buy a mask. I will either get a provantage thermal, which covers about a little past your ears
http://www.actionvillage.com/020-143-0004Or a JT Sports Elite Alpha Camo Thermal Mask which is full head coverage
http://www.amazon.com/JT-Sports-Elite-Alpha-Thermal/dp/B000FGE86G/ref=sr_1_7?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1289168372&sr=1-7I always become paranoid in paintball that i will be shot in the back or top of my head when i go for say, a flag and try running back, or someone gets behind me. Am i too paranoid? What will happen if i get hit like, right where u cant fell your spine anymor under your head the really soft spot. SHould i not woory and get the provantage?
-
ANSWER:
Buy the full one, its always better to be safe than sorry, and it could cause bleeding in your brain and or concusions. It's very dangerous. Also, play with people who aren't douches and would potentially kill you by stupidly shooting you in the head or neck. Also paralysis with getting hit on your second or third vertebre of your spine...Something. So neck protection too. No your not paranoid your smart.

QUESTION:
My paintball mask, can i die from it?!?! please helpe as quick as possible?
i got my first paintball gun and it came with this helmet, it protects your hole face and your eyes... but your hole throat is open!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wtf??? and it came with this other piece that go's to the helmet , except it looks like it go's on top fo your goggles to block out the sun?..... how do i protect my throat..... i already have 20 people comign voer my house this tuesday to play and i NEED throat protection somebody help me out please-
ANSWER:
You wont die if you get shot in the throat, but it will hurt like hell. Trust me, I got shot in the throat once when I was bunkerd at nearly point blank range and I'm still alive. You can buy paintball neck protectors online, but you can also use things like head sweatbands and like the other guy said hockey neck protectors. I now wear a paintball neck protector because I dont want shot in the neck again, but its not completely necessary.

V-force Paintball Mask Question?
Hey, i have a v-force grill mask currently but i really like the v-flector that goes on top on the profiler goggles. Will the v-flector go on the grill?-
ANSWER:
Not a 100% sure, but the Profiler V-Flector uses the same type of mounting tabs and visor o-rings as the Grill visor, so theoretically, it should work.A friend of mine uses a Profiler and I own a Grill. I'll see if I can borrow his V-Flector and try it out.

QUESTION:
what do you think of this paintball player?
ok i had a guy go paint balling with me and he raised his mask during the game and got shot in the chin and started crying walking off the field saying i could have died. i think that's messed up. and when we played on kid got shot in the neck and didn't cry or complain. so what do you think of the top one.-
ANSWER:
Not smart and not safe. This is the type of person that gives paintball a bad name because he makes an inexperience/careless mistake and then blames the sport instead of himself. I can't say I could ever think of a reason to take my mask/goggles off during a game. Probably been painted on every part of my body and never cried, but I guess there's a first time for everything. At least it didn't end up in shoot your eye out tragedy and it gave everyone something to laugh at. I would recommend reviewing the safety guidelines with your friend next time he plays. That way he doesn't "almost die" again and also so he doesn't accidently shoot one of you in a staging area.Good luck!

QUESTION:
Why do people think paintball is dangerous?
Insurance companies that have to stick their necks out to provide coverage to paintball fields reported in 2004 that paintball is one of the top safest sports in America and that includes beating soccer, bowling, tennis and track in the safety department. The only time anyone hears of a paintball accident is from two core scenarios.1: Some punks buy cheap paintball markers from walmart and go out to shoot road signs and innocent passers by.
2: Someone does not follow the rules of paintball safety (They remove their mask during play or just simply don't wear one, turning their markers past the regulation speed of 300fps, freezing their paintballs in order to cause damage, ect)
Neither one of these events are done by real players of the sport and it is not fair that the mass media has made paintball out to look like a "dark horse" sport even though it is an amazing leadership/team building sport and it also provides general exercise which we all need. Spread the correct info.
Paintballs don't hurt that bad, i've been playing for more than a decade & I don't like subjecting myself to pain.
Jeremy R is actually a clean player who plays by the rules. Not as good as me though but close none the less.-
ANSWER:
News media sensationalism » they write the news for its shock value to sell more newspapers. Take all these reports of crazed gunmen shooting up schools and public places...They fail to mention the gunmen had stolen the firearm, giving the impression all registered legal owners of guns (like me) will eventually go crazy and shoot up innocent people...If I ever do go crazy,,,I'm going to the nearest large newspaper (Los Angeles Times in my area), start with the news editor, then every headline reporter I can find...I'd only want to kill the people responsible for writing the news, so its going to take me at least a month to identify my targets to know what they look like.Sounds like Jeremy R is one of the people who gives paintball a bad name. He probably modified his gun to 600 fps velocity to see if he can break a rib.

QUESTION:
Most annoying things in paintball?
I'm tired of the nob kids at a field who think their Ollie Lang. Last time i played i saw 15 kids with 300$ jerseys with ego's and Timmie's wit some empire b's on top and the nicest air system iv ever seen. I was picked as a officer at a big game. [[serenity at the swamp VA]] with all that gear you'd think they been playing for a few of years and would be the best kids on the team. Not. they never played paintball before!!! they didn't know how to turn on their guns, how to play, they took their masks off in the middle of a fire fight and once one of them got shot and started crying to their mom. they all stayed near the base. trying to lob shots from a mile away. When the did move up in the last 5 min of the 6hur scenario they kept shooting the people who were walking out. [after being told to stop after a numerous times] i have nothing on newbs or younger players. [Im only 16] I have something ageist giving these kids thousand dollar gear when they never even now what a bunker is or even not to put the giant 50 inch paint balls on the field in their guns. and try to be like the pros when they couldn't shoot their way out of a plastic bag. i was a new and hung out in the back bunker, but i had a 40$ traid with a 9oz and a gravity feed. im just p.o ed that their wasting the stuff us other players dream about. Anyone agree and have stories like this to tell.-
ANSWER:
im fine with playing with noobs but i don't think they should have 1000 doller gear and when they think they are beast it gets on my last nerves. my buddie has that speedball gun tippmann tried to make.(was an epic fail) and he thought he was then best guy out there. so we were playing on my feild i made(have 50 acres) and of course he stays in the back. so i shoot at his bunker and scare the **** out of him. then i had my buddy go and shoot his bunker also. then i ran up there and poped him in the head and he start crying. then i said suck it and he was done saying he was beast. thank god

QUESTION:
did i get hit with the paintball?
i was playing paintball like this summer and it was one on one and i dont remember getting hit except on my head i thought i got hit but there were bee;s also, and at the end of the patch they said i didnt get hit they said it could have just ricoshed off me, because i remember something hit me hard on the head and that mart of the mask doesnt protect the top of ur head and i felt it there, so what do u think do u think i got hit or what?-
ANSWER:
Probably bounced off. Paintballs don't always break, especially if they're really cheap or old. During a legitimate game, that does not count as a hit - the official ruling is a paintball has to break and leave a mark on you about the size of a quarter to count as a hit.So you got hit but you were not out in this case.

QUESTION:
PAINTBALL: clothing question......?
i wear sweatpants and a sweatshirt. on top of that a have camo jacket and camo pants. also i wear some black paintball gloves that is cut off by your fingers, a black under armour skull cap, a camo bandana around my neck for protection, and a dark green mask. is this good? will i get too hot? also, is darker camo better than lighter? cause i have camo and some is faded out a little and some isnt at all.-
ANSWER:
Don't double up on layers, you'll get too hot and won't be as agile. Too much protection is fine for softening the hits but speed & agility are key to help prevent you from getting hit in the first place. The type of camo makes little difference, although urban camo looks out of place in the woods, etc. But if it's light wood camo & dark wood camo, then that's fine.

QUESTION:
start out in paintball?
okay so i recently played paintball for the first time in my life..and it was scenario and woodsball at CPX SPORTS in Joliet, Illinois...i am from chicago..the only thing right now i have is a mask which i bought from them when i first rented out their equip. first time i played it..i fell in love with it.....( i had their Tippman 98 custom)
i wanna play more and buy my own marker and gear etc, my birthday is coming up so i will have some cash...my question is:
what marker to buy? paintball gun? or us army paintball gun?
what gear like chest prot, pouches or w/e , nice pants and top?
hopper, CO2 tank, paintballs. etc?
nothing really expensive plz ^_^ the place i went to have a pro shop so i will prob buy from there.and finally , should i really get into it or do it?because i live inside the city and i only go a couple times a year from this point hopefully...and from what i know its illegal in Chicago..so idk?
oh and i LOVED the sport the first time i played it...was intense, adrenaline rushing, and met some new people
oh and i LOVED the sport the first time i played it...was intense, adrenaline rushing, and met some new people-
ANSWER:
Well tippmann 98 custom is a great marker to have it is very reliable and one of the most durable markers made. It is mainly for woodsball and scenario. And a great starter marker. The army alpha markers are just a 98 custom with a different body. The alphas are just for looks they are no better than the 98 customs.
Another good marker is the sp-1 which is one of the best woods and scenario markers made right now.Really all you need is a good quality mask, Pants to wear either paintball pants or just some pants you don’t care about. Chest protector if you really want one but not many people wear them, one great one made is by jt and it is like wearing an under armor shirt with padding. A pod harness is nice for carrying extra paint for those long scenario and woods ball games. A jersey is nice if you want one or want to just wear some shirts you don’t care about.
A good hopper to get is either the invert too, or halo b. You want a good loader so you don’t chop paint and you always have a ball in the chamber.
You can use co2 but I recommend hpa tank. Hpa is a lot better on your marker internals and it’s cheaper to fill an hpa tank. Yes hpa tanks cost more but they are worth it in the long run.
Paintballs, you can use cheap paint like Wal-Mart sells but the better quality paint you buy the more accurate your shots will be. But in the beginning that doesn't matter as much, just start out with cheap or mid level paint.Ya if you really love the sport get into it. It’s really up to you. Shouldn't be illegal in Chicago I have a cousin that lives there and he plays all the time, he is even on a team. And I have gone there to play with them.

QUESTION:
Is this a good paintball setup?
Hi. I am new to paintball. I have only played once and I used rental.. It was some type of Spyder, I'm not sure which one, didn't study it very closely, but I do indeed like the design of Spyders, so I was looking into getting my own gun, hopper, etc, because rental is another 20 dollars on top of the 15 entry fee.So I go to Amazon, and I was, "Wow they have good deals." So I looked to the left on the 'Sellers' and I see Action Village. I've seen Action Village before and heard of how great they are, so I stroll on by there.
I look, and they have much better prices than everywhere. Period.
Before I went to A/V though I decided I wanted a new barrel, as most guns stock barrels suck... I decided I was going to go with a nice cheap Sonix 2007. 64 dollars, wow.
Marker: Check.
I also read while researching that since the Sonix is not that fast BPS-wise, that I probably would not need an agitated hopper. {Wow only 46 more characters left.} Is this true?
Also I am going to get a mask,
What type of mask should I get. Thanks in advanced.
And what type of barrel is better, a 12 or 14"? I am definitely going with the J & J Ceramic for Spyders though. Thanks-
ANSWER:
Look on ebay.Spyders are alright guns but they are not too reliable.
I suggest getting a Tippmann, mabe a 98 Custom on ebay. Generally, a used (their indestructable so used is like new) Tippmann 98 Custom package (a few upgrades, a Co2 tank, hopper, etc) will cost less than 0 with shipping.
Tippmanns are the AK47's of paintball. Their some of the most upgradable paintball guns, very reliable, and last forever.
A Tippmann Stock will shoot about 12BPS or as fast as you can pull the trigger. A repsonse trigger will let you easily get about 15BPS (mine gets 22BPS). An E-grip can achieve much faster rates of fire.
There is also the new Alpha Black Tactical paintball guns and the full package deal usually costs about 0 for the gun with E-grip and full M4/M16 look.
A mask, you should spend alot on. You will need one with a Thermal lense (duel pane). Anti-fog coatings and sprays do not work. If your in a high humidity area, I suggest a fan for the mask with a thermal lense. A fogged mask will ruin a day better than anything else.
A barrel: for best accuracy, you need a good paintball to barrel match to where the paintball can be easily blow out the barrel but does not roll out or get stuck.
A good barrel is a Palmers Brass Barrel. It has a unique bore that will fit and accuratly shoot differently sized paintballs.
Barrels should not be longer than 16" because longer than that is just for looks. A 12" barrel is easier to manuever and the 14" is a good all around size.
Porting is not generally needed on a barrel. Alot of porting will not greatly reduce noise and noise is not as big a deal as some people make it. I've done testing with barrels with no porting and lots of porting and they both sound and work the same.
A good general paintball Bore size is .690.
The J&J barrels are alright but for best accuracy, you will have to find a paintball that fits the barrel. For a hopper, shooting about 5BPS and less, a gravity hopper will work but may need an occaisonal shake to un-jam the paintballs. An agitated hopper is the next one up and uses paddles to un-jam the paintballs giving a faster feed (about 12BPS in reality). The next step up is a force fed hopper that force feeds the paintballs. These typically feed above 13BPS but can be spendy.

QUESTION:
I need to ebay my paintball stuff... estimates as to how much?
I'm trying to sell my paintball stuff to get money for college coming up... I have a Spyder Xtra Marker with a Intruder Foregrip, a Spyder Shutter Marker also with a Intruder Foregrip, a 14" All-American Rifled Barrel, one mask, a 12oz. CO2 tank, another 12oz. CO2 tank with an on/off switch, and a 20oz. CO2 tank, and two hoppers - two elbow mount pieces. I will include a picture but, the stuff is all in top shape, used yes, but I keep good care of my guns and clean them after every game.http://i820.photobucket.com/albums/zz130/mtornatore/large.jpg
-
ANSWER:
Well you can normally get about to for a spyder xtra with the grip with a tank and hopper.
Spyder Shutter will normally got for about to 0 with tank and hopper.
The all american barrel is worth about to on its own, if you sell it with one of the markers i would recommend the shutter because u will get the most chance of selling that set for just under 0.
The tanks on there own are worth only about each. The elbows should just be included with the markers because on their own they are all but worthless and take forever to sell.Your gear looks good and you should be able to make about 0 to 0 after you sell all of it. Normally shipping is about or for a marker with a tank and all that so that is about what you should charge for shipping.

QUESTION:
I was shot in the eye with a paintball gun in 2007.... Will I be blind for the rest of my life?
Me and a few friends were playing paintball in the woods back in '07. I ran out of paint balls and put my gun in the air to let them know that I'm through... Well, with there being so many trees and bushes around I guess one of them didn't see me, and I took my face mask off for about 2 seconds to wipe the sweat away and I get shot in the eye... It hurt.... A lot.... Anyway, I can see out of the top left half of my eye, but if I close my other eye and look directly at something with the damaged eye, I can't tell what I'm looking at, unless I look slightly left of the object. To get a better idea of what I'm talking about, here is a pic illustrating my vision area "www . zortin.com/host/images/pic2228.jpg".... Good news anyone?-
ANSWER:
Have you seen a doctor?I can't give you an answer for sure. But it's essential you see a doctor and ask his opinion. Usually they can fix it or at least improve your vision (it depends on the degree of damage). I'm guessing you have common sense and have already seen one, though.

ANSWER:
As a former front player the size of the gun matters. Small and tight is important. I would go with the g3 just based on that alone. I will recommend an a5 to anyone who doesn't plan on playing tournament paintball because they are reliable and offer pretty dang good performance. But you are looking to spend some $ and get some serious gear. the g3 will take you further than the a5, but it will require a little more maintenance.

Airsoft camera mask? (example pics too?)?
I have a (paintball)(?) mask, and i have taken a small, cylindrical flashlight, about 2.5 inches long, and i attached it to the top right (left if your looking at the front) with scotch tape, now i nee to know how to attached a digital camera, between 2 and 4 pounds with the following conditions:
-not making the mask slip off
-not making the mask turn or move
-protecting the camera
-not blocking my view
-are able to replace batteries and press buttonsbasically a spot on the mask that is completely convenient
links for example pics would be appreciated

ANSWER:
i would say the top of your mask if it is a full head mask, but if not, then i would say you might want to put it on your gun itselft. or maybe on your shoulder. but if you must have it on your mask, just put it on top if you can or on a viser.

QUESTION:
What is a good paintball marker for woodsball?
I am looking into buying a paintball marker to play woodsball with my buddies. I need a marker, mask, tank, and hopper but only have tops 0 dollars. I know i can get a Tippmann 98 Custom, but i am also looking at the Spyder MR1 and Spyder Xtra. With the Spyders i would also be able to get a larger tank for less than the Tippmann package. Please tell me which marker you would choose and why. Also feel free to advise on a marker not listed. Thanks!-
ANSWER:
You can't do better for woodsball in your price range than a Tippmann 98. They are like the Glocks/AK-47's of woodsball- reliable, durable, easy to maintain and upgrade. A Spyder is a nice gun but it will not take the abuse that a Tippmann will- you can drop a Tippmann into mud, sand, water, bang it into trees and rocks all day and it will still function. There are also a ton of modifications and upgrades out there, so your gun can change and grow with you. You can run Co2 or HPA, add a Response or E-trigger, you can make it look like an M-16 or AK-47, add red-dot scopes and upgrade the barrel. You can even add on the cyclone feed like the X-7 and A-5 have, so it's a great platform for newbs and veteran players alike.
One of my friends is cheap and refuses to buy a new gun- he has been using his 98 for many, many years now and has never had a single problem with it. He has upgraded it with a Flatline barrel and a few other things, but he has no problem keeping up with my A-5 and other players with shiny new ,000 guns.
The 98 is your best choice, hands down, and when you can the first thing I'd buy is an upgraded barrel.

ANSWER:
I would personally go with the Tippmann A-5 because it comes with all the things you need for paintball and the cyclone feed works a lot better than an gravity fed loader like the other deals.
And Tippmanns are almost indestructible, you cant really break it unless you try to (I was crossing a river on a field and tripped in and when underwater, but the A-5 I had still worked after I got out). The Tippmann Bravo One M4 is a good gun, but its pretty much a Tippmann 98 with a M4 body, still its a great gun and the stuff that comes with it is pretty good.
The BT-4 SWAT, another great gun, but it doesn't come with all the stuff you need so I would go with the two deals above, unless your willing to pay up for the tank and mask
The Spyder, well I wouldn't recommend this gun to anyone....
I seen/known so many people that had problems with the marker and its not worth your money, plus the company that makes the gun (smartparts), when out of business so it might be hard to find parts for it if it does break.
Also I dont see the point in why you might need walkie talkies during paintball if you do get into itThe Inferno battery powered PaintballGun, I never heard of this paintball gun before so I really dont have any knowledge of the gun. The package is pretty good for it but I dont see a price tag on all the stuff so Im not sure if its a good deal or not.

o btw yes it does feed 30 bps and holds 200+ balls-

QUESTION:
What type of clothing should I wear for indoor paintball?
The place I'm going to is indoors and is well heated/ventilated.They do give out army jackets to wear if you like, so I have my upper body covered. I'll probably just wear a t-shirt underneath it to stay cool.
What should I wear for pants? Should I wear a pair of jeans with a pair of track pants over-top? Or will the track-pants be enough? I don't want to get too hot.
Also, I have my own mask and I wear a toque under my helmet to protect the back of my head, is a toque a good option for this?
-
ANSWER:
iv played indoors before and if you can take the pain i wouldd recomend wearing shorts because it gets really hot when your running from binker to bunker but if not wear like some old athletic pants or if you have access then wear like an old military set like BDU pants and a short sleve

QUESTION:
Please help out a beginner paintballer...?
Some friends of mine have been playing paintball a lot, and I'd love to start joining them. I've only been a couple times and I've borrowed guns and other equipment every time. My question is what all do I need to buy? Money isn't a huge problem... I don't want to spend over 0-400 though for everything.A friend suggested a "BT-4 Combat with Delta Elite Upgrade Kit" for a gun. Is this a good gun? I know they play "woodsball".
What else do I need?
CO2 - How large will I need, are there different types, etc. How many do I need? How expensive to refill?
Mask-Are there different types? What's best?
Camo- Is that necessary or over the top? What kind to get?
Paintball Gloves- Same as above
Please be as specific as possible. Let me know EVERYTHING I need. I have NOTHING right now. There are probably some miscellaneous things I need as well. How can I tell if paintballs are decent quality or not?
Please let me know expected prices, good websites to buy, other places to look. Is it okay to buy used? Please help me out! Like I said, I know NOTHING

ANSWER:
Well a good starter marker to get in my opinion would be the Tippman 98 custom. You can practically throw it in mud and fire it like new. It is a VERY durable marker. They go for around 0 just by themselves. I would not recommend buying the package deals due to the crap extras that are included. Just remember to READ the manual that comes with the marker (paintball gun) and learn everything about it before you even touch it. The thing that most beginners forget to do is maintain their marker. You need to learn how to clean it and know when to replace O-rings, etc. The other things you would need to buy would be a hopper (holds paintballs) which doesn't matter too much which one you get. I doubt you would need to have an electric hopper with a mechanical marker such as the Tippman 98 custom or the BT-4.For the gas tank, I would recommend a HPA (High Pressure Air tank). CO2 is known for wrecking markers. The reason for this would be that CO2 is stored as a liquid in the tank and when it is released into the gun it becomes a gas. This process sometimes doesn't happen and you get the liquid version of the CO2 in your gun instead. You spend more money to refill the CO2 anyway. Another common mistake for beginners is telling the difference between Air tanks and nitrogen tanks. Air and nitrogen are the same thing. Some people just believe that the thing we breath is mostly made of nitrogen and decided to call it that instead of air.
Masks are pretty important since it effects your vision quite a bit. You do not want to be running around and having the lens fog up on you. This can be prevented by buying a thermal lens mask. You can find some thermal masks for around . Just go to a paintball store in your area. Try not to buy a mask that is like a helmet. Those tend to fog up quicker due to the enclosed space and the lack of escape for your breath.
Camo is truly up to the player. I feel it does not really do much for me. I usually wear a nice white shirt with jeans and I am fine with that. I can be sneaky when I want to without camo, but I guess it would be easier with it. There isn't really a good or bad camo, but it would be good to get a set of clothes that you would be willing to wear every time you go paintballing and get them messy.
Gloves are rather nice for paintballing due to finger shots which can cause quite a sting. It really is up to you whether you want to spend the money or not. I personally don't use them due to my lack of money. I feel like they would also get in the way of my trigger fingers.
You can pretty much tell if paint is good or not by the price of it. The paint that goes for the cheapest would be the worst paint the field has to offer. A quick trick to tell if a paintball is actually high grade would be to take one out and squeeze it between two fingers. If you can break it fairly easy, it should be good. If it takes all your strength to break it, it probably isn't even allowed on the field xD.
I hope this helped, and if you have any more questions be sure to post another question.

QUESTION:
VForce Grillz problem!?
The top part (forgot the name) of my mask is too small so I always get shot in the forehead. Where can I buy a larger top piece or how can I fix this problem (wearing a hat, etc. what brand is good)?
If anyone could answer that'd be great (I don't want a bruise on my forehead every time I paintball).-
ANSWER:
I don't know of any pieces you can add to cover that dip at the top. You could just wear a thicker material baseball cap backwards. You can also check out the Hundredth Monkey Turtle cap. It's very nicely padded cap made for protecting the dome for around .

QUESTION:
how to get back out and meet a nice lass?
i will start at the start. iv Always been the type of guy who only has a few good mates. iv never been one for hanging out in really big groups. i just always liked small close mates. you know ones you can count on for anything.well we would go out on the drink or just out to random places and meet up with lasses. so it was always fun and i always meet new people. Then the following things hap pend.
My best mate was killed in a car.
My 2 close mates after that moved miles to the top end of scotland and lost contact with them.
My close mate took my trust away when he wanted to have sex with my ex( who i was going with at the time)
My other close mate left and moved away as well.
Then my good mate moved back to the USAThen i broke up with my ex's after she got preg and took the life of the kid in to her own hand and got rid of it, all because someone told her i told them it was not my kid. before u asked nope i would never say that. i still to this day say i lost my kid.
So that bring me to now. iv got a few people i know and one i would class as a mate, but i cant get out with him unless i always make my own way to where him and his pals are of to.
THe only time i seem to meet nice women is when im at work, but its very very hard to flirt with someone as you could lose your job. sure i have meet up with 3 women after it but it still a major risk. i need to wait till they make a move. Work as a paintball marshal. so out side with my groups most of the day so its easy to chat to them but hard to see what there face is saying since they got a mask on haha.
People say enjoy the single life but its really not that great. i miss the waking up next to someone who cares about you. having random dates. holding hands and so on. single life for me is just not fun at all.
so i need away to meet a lass but no seem like a loaner for being out on my own. any help would be great.
im 6 foot 1
short brown hair
im about 10 stone.
i have no moobsmy flaws
I smoke/smoke some weed. (why because it helps chill me out, its hard dealing with your mum saying she want to end her life because of her back problems and always being in so much pain, its hard to stand there and not be able to do anything to help. so i chill out. its that or hit something hard like a wall
Very protective. meaning i will protect my family and close mates no matter what.i will always stand my ground for them and not let them get hurt.
Trust. not sure why but if you break it once its very hard to get it back from me.
I always seem to know whats girls at the time are doing something hey should not be doing. no idea how but not been wrong yet. thought my ex was cheating and saw she was. thought my other ex was chatting with her ex. she was. just to add i did not have a problem with this, i just don't like being told no im never going to talk to my ex but i will behind your back.
need to know out else just ask oh and im 22, 23 in november.
thanks for any tips andhelp

ANSWER:
It's a good beginner gun that takes CO2 and shoots fast. But if you want to spend the few extra dollars, you'd be better off with a Proto SLG or Smart Parts Epiphany because they shoot a little bit faster. However, those guns only use nitrogen. But it's only about for a Steel Nitro Tank.Hope this helps.

Top Paintball Marker
Paintball is a fun activity entire family can enjoy and is ideal if you are looking for a bit of an adrenaline rush. Paintball has become a popular outdoor activity across the UK. Sheffield situated in South Yorkshire has several places where you can play paintball. So if youre planning a trip to Yorkshire and want to try this fun sport you should know the places offering paintball in Sheffield.
One of the most popular places for paintball Sheffield is the Sheffield Paintball Park. What makes this place so great is that there are different zones providing different settings where you can play paintball. For example, there is a jungle setting which offers great woodlands with thick foliage without too many artificial hurdles. This helps in giving some protection from your opponents aim.
There is a zone called Fort Mound. This has a large fort set on an elevated ground. There is practically no cover making it easy to hit or be hit by a whizzing paintball. Another great setting offered exclusively at Sheffield Paintball Park is the street. This setting has buildings on either side and as the name suggests an open street in between.
This means you have to be extra careful while treading here, as your opponent would have easy access to you and target you with his paintball gun. A fourth setting which makes paintball in Sheffield really exciting is the log cabin setting.
This comprises a cabin set in the middle of thick woodland and undergrowth. The competing teams battle it out to take possession of this cabin. This setting has a truly combat like feel as you maneuver your way through the foliage and try to win over the cabin.
A good thing about Sheffield Paintball Park is that you can make your bookings online. You could choose a full day entry as well as lunch, outfits and ammunition. The company offers one hundred free paintballs per player when you book online. This is sure to make your experience of paintball in Sheffield truly fantastic.

QUESTION:
Top 5 best paintball markers of all time?
Calling all PB players. What are the top 5 best paintball markers of all time? (based on things such as innovation/evolutionary impact on the sport, ruggedness/durability, accuracy, etc., and, definitely, most baddass!)Here are my picks IMHO:
1. Nelspot 007 (started the sport)
2. .68 Automag (Innovative, first semi-auto champion)
3. Tippy 98c (tank)
4. WGP Autococker (accessorize!)
5. Kingman Spyder (c'mon, how many of us didn't start out with a spidey)!-
ANSWER:
1. I'll agree with your #1. Technically, the Nelspot 707 was the first, but you're right about the 007 being the first successful paintball marker for the SPORT.
2. Tippmann. No particular one, they're all pretty good at being tough as nails.
3. Piranha (PMI)/Spyder (Kingman) - tied for the most affordable and decent-quality beginner guns. They all perform the same so can't pick any in particular (exceptions being Spyder EM1 and Raven Primal, which were both electro-pneumatic, not blowbacks like the other Kingman markers).
4. pneuVentures Shocker - the gun itself sucked but it was the very first true electro-pneumatic. It's the birth of my fave marker type - the spool-valve.
5. Matrix, every single one, from the first Diablo Matrix to the DM*enter year here*. My fave rendition of the spoolie.

The All American is a great barrel. I'm using that myself. The J&J Ceramic barrels are great as well. My teammate is using it on his spyder and it's great.
Another great barrel that you should consider is the stiffi barrel http://www.pbreview.com/products/reviews/1660/ .
If you are looking for distance, I've read great things in regard to the BT Apex barrel. http://www.pbreview.com/products/reviews/3894/

QUESTION:
what type of paintball marker do your recommend?
mechanical, electro-mechanic, etc.?im a somewhat beginner willing to pay 200$ tops im not that handy so i need something low maintnence but i want something high quality-
ANSWER:
I would suggest a Tippmann A5. Its a solid platform that's great out of the box. The upgrades and add-ons are unlimited. It's very easy to work on and can compete with some of the best out there. The base model runs 179.00. If you're into military style paintball guns, the crowd favorite is the A5. More parts are out there for the A5 than any other gun in production. You can make it into a replica m16, ak, m4... you name it..Super paintball gun - you can't go wrong with an A5

QUESTION:
How to make a paintball gun iron sight?
I just have a regular paintball marker, and we don't speed ball, we play out in the woods. So most firefights are fairly far away..and I do just fine, but I was wondering if there is anyway to make some sort of sight on the top..I don't want to but a sight or scope.-
ANSWER:
Depends on what gun you have, if you have a gun that has a feedneck directly on top of the gun, then you have no hope in making a iron sight. if you have a gun that has a feedneck to the side, for example, a tipppman 98, the tippman a5, etc, then you have some hope. To make one, first ou have to shoot your paintball gun. Put it on a gun mount, where i cant move, then shoot it. Now you know where its going to hit. Then maybe you can hot glue a thin small piece of plywood in the front to know where it hits. then cut out a U shape SMALL plywood and hot glue it to the back. that'll work. I dont know if you should do that. Its not that hard to aim a paintball gun.

What is a good entry level paintball gun for less than 0.?
What is a good, solid paintball marker for a price range topping out at 0. It must be compatible with both Co2 and N02. Electronic vs. Non Electronic? Which is better. Thanks.-
ANSWER:
all thought the a5 might be an "air hog", the cyclone feed never jams. I have one and it works perfectly. Its very easy to field strip and can be done in about two minutes. And no it is not for beginners. Ive had mine for about 3 years, and it works great.

QUESTION:
Best Accurate Paintball Marker?
Price is not a matter for me. I was into paintballing about 2 years ago and i want to get into scenario paintballing which means i need a gun with good accuracy and distance. What would be a good marker for me? and what kind of upgrades would make it better? I have a 07 Ion with a freak barrel. I need something that can top this as far as accuracy...i don't care much for the balls per second.-
ANSWER:
It wont make much difference at all what gun you get. They all shoot the same projectile at the same speed from the same air source. just get a good long barrel for whatever gun you have, like a 14 to 16 inch. any longer then that wont increase accuracy, just increase air usage. can get a rifled barrel but be prepared to spend twice the price for an almost unnoticeable difference. Best thing you can do is get good paint that matches the caliber of your barrel. Each barrel and paintball isnt exactly .68, they can be anywhere from like .673 to .689. get paint that is just barely smaller then the barrel, like .01 smaller. Get a comp air tank instead of C02, air is much more consistant, meaning every shot is closer to the same FPS and is more likely to fallow the same flight path. get a remote line or a drop forward for your tank, wont increase your accuracy but will increase how quick you can move the gun around meaning you can sight in quicker and get your shots on target quicker. can get a stock, i would recommend the m4 style collapsible. fixed stocks are too long and make the gun harder to work around corners, folding stocks will get you fucked up in CQC when your trying to switch back and forth. Get the M4 style and keep it on the shortest setting, that helps keep the gun steady when firing bursts, and you need that because no matter how good you think you are if you just take one shot at someone your wrong. You need to keep laying down paint on them until you they call them self out. If you want a new gun i would say the A-5. Theres a reason so many woodsballers use it, durability and realability are key in the woods. Best thing to do is just be patient and wait for people to come within a range you know you can hit them if your trying to "snipe". but as far as a paintball sniper rifle goes, good luck finding one because they dont exist nor shall they in the for seeable future. untill they change the paintball round or increase the FPS you can shoot while still being safe. those guys that swear by their pumps have just become masters at waiting for the right shot, they arnt any more accurate then any other marker, they just suck up close, against multiple targets and you cant lay down any cover fire with them. Theres no worse sight when you see a guy on your team with a ghillie suit and a pump because you know your not getting any help from him the entire game, they're too obsessed with the lone wolf "im the badest mother out here so im gonna do my own thing and not help the rest of the team" attitude and it handicaps your team. even if your getting kills your still letting the rest of the team gun into the meat grinder with one less gun to back them up. Dont be that guy.

QUESTION:
i have a 12 gram CO2 cartridge for a paintball marker but i dont know how to use it..help?
ok i have a small neck 12 gram CO2 cartridge but i dont know how to use it. i have a few questions that maybe someone could help me with:what kind of gun is it for?
does it need to be rehydrotested like other tanks?
how do i attach it? theres nothing at the neck only a little top
how long do they last in use?
yes i have an Ion XE i would like to try it on-
ANSWER:
They are used in more than paintball markers, some BB guns use them as well. And not all paintball markers that use them are junk. Take the CCI Phantom http://www.actionvillage.com/010-477-0001 for example. No, they do not require hydro testing as they are one time use. Most paintball markers will give you 10-50 shots tops. On paintball markers, take that Phantom in the link, you unscrew the tube sticking out the bottom of the marker, put the 12 gram in in the tube with the small tip facing up/towards the marker body, then screw it back on nice and tight.
Edit.
Do you have a paintball marker you are wishing to use it in? If so what brand and model is it? Many were not designed to use 12 gram cartrages, but you can buy this to use them.

QUESTION:
what is the difference between the alpha black and project salvo paintball markers?
I want to buy either one but i cannot decide. I want the rails of the project salvo but i found a package on amazon where the egrip comes with the alpha black marker already. Is it possible to change the shroud of the alpha black to make it have rails around the barrel and is it possible to take off the carry handle and add rails on top of the alpha black to make it look like a project salvo?-
ANSWER:
They are really the same thing just with a lil different body and just different barrel shroud and stock. You cant remove the alpha black carry handle unless you want to cut it off. You can just add rails to it by drilling and screwing rails on to it. The front barrel shroud is removable from the alpha and you can buy the salvo shroud for about to on ebay. Same with the stock.
Really They are not that different and all your paying for is the body mods. The internals are the same. They are really just a tippmann 98 custom with a different body and mods slopped on. The perform the same as a 98 custom and to me not worth the money. I would recommend to spend the money on either a BT marker or sp-1. Bt makes a few markers that look like the salvo and the internals are upgraded on the bt marker so it works a lil smoother and shoot faster. And the sp-1 is just totally better all around then both markers. Sp-1 has a great electronic trigger, has eyes for anti chop system, and shoots fast and real smooth.

QUESTION:
will co2 damage my paintball marker?
ive heard that co2 will gum up the internals after a while of use. i was told that the top cocking blow back design on my spyder is not at much risk for this though. my friend has a timmy a5 with a side cocker, is he more in danger of this happening?
also, will my marker ever outshoot my tank? my gun can do 30bps but i dont think the conversion process in the tank can maintain that rof for long.
do all co2 tanks have some sort of siphon device (tube or valve)?-
ANSWER:
CO2 will not gum it up it, any power source weather CO2 or Nitrogen will cause problems if you are getting it from a contaminated source. Nitrogen is nice as you don't have the cooling and inconsity shot power that CO2 happens with long strings of firing because Nitrogen stays a gas even under the high pressure. As you fire more the tank and tub cools more to the point that the liquid C02 is not changing to gas as quick and giving the correct pressure to fire rapidly.

How can a Scope go on if you have a hopper on top?
I have a Spyder Sonix and a Icon X...

you need to put the scope on 'off set'. so you get an off set rail(you attach scopes to a rail). a guy on my team had to do that. also i prefer the sonix

QUESTION:
Help Me Decide on A Paintball Gun!?
I'm a fairly experienced paintballer and i do both indoor and outdoor, I'm looking to buy a well blended marker, that will perform well in both situations. I'm upgrading from an old one but don't want to spend too terribly much on the new gun, i believe i've narrowed it down to these 4. If you would please tell me which of the four you would recommend and why i would appreciate it, or if you believe i should consider a completely different one that's fine as well, I just want to spend under 0 on the marker itself. Thank You!!
What I believe to be the top 4 choices...

http://www.ansgear.com/Tippmann_A5_Semi_Auto_Paintball_Marker_Black_p/tippmanna5black.htm-
ANSWER:
i would recomend the azodin zenith. its an awesome marker made in america with all metal. yes people look at it as a stacked tube blow back design and they say it sucks. well on this marker it does not everyone got the idea from spyder who uses cheap materials that break easily. the zenith has break beam eyes daul. it has dual ball detents with many modes on it. and get this if you want any different modes put on it you can just send it back and theyll put them on it for free. the feedneck is ion threaded so its easy to get a new one. also the barrel is autococker threaded so you can get a vast selection of barrels. also it has a zip kick system so you can adjust it down and it will shoot perfect with no kick. it also has a light weight striker that reduces a lot of the kick and a easily clean bolt. it just comes out and you can clean it without taking the marker apart. get the zenith its the best marker on their and i love it!!!! no dont listen to the others with pmr they break easily and their often costly and dangerous power g3 had a billion problems do not get it!!! they dont know what theyr talking about on that!! i work at ansgear i should know

OK I recently bought an ninja tank 48/3000, yet when trying to attach to my smart parts vibe it's not working. What I mean by it's not working is that it wont hold in place or can't put in my marker. Do I need something put on top of the tank or bottom of the marker for it to attach or work?-

You probably need a new regulator. Go to your local paintball store with your gun and they will seitch it for you or show you whats wrong if it is not that.

QUESTION:
Paintball gun and HPA tank Question?
I have a x-7 paintball marker, with a 3000 psi tank and i recently bought a 'pure energy coiled 3000 psi maximum recommended operating pressure ' which is a cord that takes air from tank to gun so i can strap the tank on my back instead of under my arm. now i have a series of questions.1. the coil's maximum pressure is recommended at 3000 dose that mean it was built for 4000 so that it can withstand 3000 or dose it mean dont use any tank near 3000 because thats the limit, for example i know bridges are built to withstand 5x the amount they would normally carry so they dont ever collapse.
that is my top priority to be answered.2. if i have the tank strapped to my back what if the tank gets shot on the nossle will this damage the tank in any way? i dont want to blow up we are dealing with alot of pressure here. thats next on prioity
3. dose the coil ever need to be inspected professionally say once a year to ensure stabilty? if so where would i do this..
all questions are pretty dangerous because if anything is wrong i will mostlikly blow up.. or my tank will and that will leave me very injured or dead... soo i'd like serious answer that have been researched because i could not find these myself. paintballers seem to be all hush hush about helping someone else lol.
thanks for helping
i forgot to add... if somone is confident in their answer i'd like a little proof , this is important stuff-
ANSWER:
1. Your remote coil and tank maybe rated for 3000psi, but the tank's regulator, and I am assuming that it is a high pressure tank because your are using a X-7, only allows an output pressure of 850psi from the tank.2. You have nothing to worry about. I've used a remote with my A-5 and 47/3000 tank and have been shot in the tank's nozzle on several occasions. No crazy explosions.
3. Just check the integrity of the coil before you play to make sure there is no damages or cuts within the line. If there is, buy a new one and replace it.

QUESTION:
start out in paintball?
okay so i recently played paintball for the first time in my life..and it was scenario and woodsball at CPX SPORTS in Joliet, Illinois...i am from chicago..the only thing right now i have is a mask which i bought from them when i first rented out their equip. first time i played it..i fell in love with it.....( i had their Tippman 98 custom)
i wanna play more and buy my own marker and gear etc, my birthday is coming up so i will have some cash...my question is:
what marker to buy? paintball gun? or us army paintball gun?
what gear like chest prot, pouches or w/e , nice pants and top?
hopper, CO2 tank, paintballs. etc?
nothing really expensive plz ^_^ the place i went to have a pro shop so i will prob buy from there.and finally , should i really get into it or do it?because i live inside the city and i only go a couple times a year from this point hopefully...and from what i know its illegal in Chicago..so idk?
oh and i LOVED the sport the first time i played it...was intense, adrenaline rushing, and met some new people
oh and i LOVED the sport the first time i played it...was intense, adrenaline rushing, and met some new people-

QUESTION:
what real gun would the Tiberius Arms Tac-8 compare to in size?
I am looking to get a holster for each of my two Tac-8s.(paintball pistols)
I don't like the ones that are made for them, so I am hoping that they are the same size as a real gun, or close enough to fit without falling out.
The physical dimensions of the marker are as follows;Length, as measured from front to back = approximately 10.5 inches.
Angular height, as measured from butt to top of marker, parallel to grip line = 7.5 inches.
Width, as measured from side to side, at thickest point on the rear of the marker = 2.375 inches
note, the width measured at the base of the grip is approximately 2.125 inches, so there is a slight taper down the profile of the grip.Any help would be greatly appeciated.
-
ANSWER:
www.sarcoinc.com has holsters originally intended for the Chech Scorpion machinepistol in new condition. it's a big, beefy holster with plenty of leather to modify (if necessary.)and a military style flap with closure to ensure retention.
I think it's your best bet.

QUESTION:
Paintball game tommorrow, But I'll use the alpha black for speedball?
I'm just quite afraid to go with my friends tommorrow on a speedball field and use my alpha black tactical tippmann.
I mean.. I can't afford to buy a fantastic Ego or any top mark markers but I really like to play with my new alpha black.I'm worried that I may be made fun of... I just want to be unique. I'm not planning to be a pro and lash people out with my gear. I just want to have fun.
So what should I do or say to them?
planned to wear tommorrow.SWAT vest (under it is my fatigue uniform).
HPA tank.
Harness and pods
my JT full helmet with a "kai" sanskrit on the forehead. Is it really a taboo, if it really is, to be unique on paintball?
sorry If I made a wrong impression... I'm just jittery and worried on my 2nd paintball here in america. T-T-
ANSWER:
You don't need to explain yourself to anyone. It is really not a big deal. Some friends and I went to play woodsball one day, but there we not that many people out because of the weather. We ended up going to the indoor speedball field. I was using a mechanical semi-auto and wearing MultiCam TRU (Tactical Response Uniform.) Doesn't matter what you wear or what type of marker you are using, just have fun and enjoy yourself.

ANSWER:
Your description really doesn't narrow it down. There are several models that have e-marker on the side, and the color doesn't mean anything because it could be custom. For best results, I suggest you post a picture of both sides.

ANSWER:
that was way to broad of a description. Every marker you put the hopper on top and the CO2 n2 or HPA at bottom. if its a spyder you will have to use those plastic elbows to connect the hopper

QUESTION:
cheapest paintball brands ?
I've to buy goggle system;Gears pants and jersey;Top protection;gloves;maybe the marker...i've a budget of 270$-
ANSWER:
Goggles: http://www.ansgear.com/category_s/1446.htm -
Pants: http://www.ansgear.com/2010_Proto_Paintball_Pants_s/2444.htm -
Gloves: http://www.ansgear.com/Redz_Paintball_Gloves_s/458.htm -I don't recommend jerseys, only useful if you're on a team AND play tourneys.
Don't really need top protection (i assume you mean chest protector?).
Wear a headwrap of some kind (hat, beanie, headband, whatever) so your mask stays in place and to catch sweat (didn't link one cuz you can wear anything).
Don't usually recommend gloves unless it's cold, but personal preference & all that.Leaves you with 149-ish for anything else. Won't get you the best gun, but it'll get you a gun. However, the gun needs a hopper & tank, so factor that in as well.

QUESTION:
How do I replace detents on my paintball gun?
I have a Tippmann Carver One and I just bought it 2 weeks ago. Well today I went to test the marker out and I pointed the marker down and a lot of paintballs just rolled out of the barrel. I made sure that I got the right caliber paintballs (.68) so I have narrowed it down to detents unless there is some other factor to consider. I was wondering if anyone could explain where the detents are in the Carver One, how to change the detents out, and what brand of detents is superior from the rest. I am a rookie at paintball, so if there is any tips or opinions on how to make my Tippmann Carver One top notch (upgrades and/or customs) they are gladly appreciated. Thanks.-
ANSWER:
Not a whole lot of choices since detents aren't supposed to vary that much and it's hard to improve upon something so simple. If you need a detent just go to the Tippmann website and order a replacement. They'll usually carry all current model parts, and Tippmanns have lots of parts!I included a link to the Carver one manual. You should've gotten one with the marker unless you bought it used. On page 2 in the upper left hand corner they have a drawing of the ball detent or what they call the "ball latch". It's the same one that's used in the A5 and 98C. Check to see that it's where it's supposed to be. If it's not there then that's your whole problem. Good news is that it's cheap to replace.
Improving on the Carver one? Not much you can really do. I don't know if they're E-trigger compatible. The best upgrades for any marker set up is: Compressed Air for more consistent velocity, a good loader, and a good barrel. Don't get caught up in the Tippmann Mod Trap where you add all sorts of junk to the marker that doesn't help its performance.
Enjoy man, have fun!

QUESTION:
My Hopper Elbow isn't Fitting on my TippMann! What am I doing wrong??
Hey guys, so heres wuts up. I have a Tippmann Alpha black Paintball Marker, and I have the red/green sight on the top rail, only problem is, when I put on the hopper, is blocks the view. So I heard someone telling me about getting a "45 degree hopper elbow"I go to Dicks Sporting Goods, get a "VL BOW" didn't describe the size or anything, and there were several of them. I try to put it on, but it seems it doesn't want to stay, it slides out. There are two pieces, the elbow and a small "sleeve" that comes apart. I believe that sleeve needs to be bigger because the small connector slide is just falling into the whole hopper. I screw it on, but it just slides out.
My question is, What Am I Doing Wrong?? or What Elbow Do I Need for my Alpha Black?
Here's what the Elbow looks like, its the clear one====
http://www.pwpaintball.com/hoppers_and_loaders/page/elbow_vl.htm
====-
ANSWER:
The problem is, the Alpha Black can't use a standard elbow - it has it's own special elbow that's already a 45° elbow. Getting a new one won't help, even if you did get one made for the gun. The hopper will always be right there in front of the site. Can you mount the site at an angle or to one side of the rail?
Your only other option, which can be costly, is finding a Warp Feed or getting a Q-Loader. Warp Feeds (which i think are out of production now) mount to the side of the gun while a Q-Loader is typically mounted underneath the barrel. Both have a tube that leads to the feedneck.

QUESTION:
Tippmann 98 for sale?
NOTICE I AM SELLING A PAINTBALL GUNHey everybody, i have a Tippmann 98 paintball marker for sale and i am asking for it. I can Include a flatline barrel with the shroud and everything for extra. The marker is in pretty good condition for how old it is. Shoots great, and i have well lubed it, works flawlessly. but some minor paint wear along the top of gun. I can also do a custom paint job of Olive drab green, or desert tan, or just paint over the marker with black again. If you are interested email me at svdspecialist@yahoo.com i am located in Cincinnati Ohio
-
ANSWER:
I dont think you are allowed to sell things on here, anywho you need to either toss it on craigslist.org, ebay.com or pbnation.com . If the marker is in decent shape and you add the flatline you should get more than a 100 dollars. I agree, too cheap of a price usually screams scam.

QUESTION:
Need help choosing a marker?
ok so my problem is that i am allowed to get a paintball gun so this will be my first gun. I want a gun that wont break alot and will last.
I play mostly woodland and scenrio but the very odd time ill play speedball.
im looking for a gun that will suit my style of play the most
im a front man so i need to shoot fast.
once i get to about half i start to sharpshoot people but thats usslay impossible with a rental.
the reasons i picked these to gun below is beacuse ive heard that the g3 spec r is amazing and is very accurite
i also picked the a5 because if i have a response on it i can tune it to preety much go full auto
both of these setups are the same price give or take 10$ but im set on buying one of these guns so if somebody can help me choose which one that would be greatdp g3 spec r(badass paintball)=399.99$
invert halo too=70$
pure energy 46/3000 psi=50$
Invert 20/20 Thermal Paintball Goggles W/ Fan =50$
JT FX Harness=50$
total about 620$ without tax
total with tax around 705$tippmann a5 with response trigger=270$
guerrilla 62ci 3000 psi hpa tank= 60$
NcSTAR 1x30 B-Style Red Dot Weaver Base=40$
Tippmann Spec Ops A5 Flat Top Weaver Rail=.95
Dye I4 Thermal Paintball Mask=115$
a5 flatline barrel=90$
NXe 4+1 Pod Harness=30$
total=622.65$
with tax about:709$-

QUESTION:
Help me pick a paintball gun pleease!?!?
Ok so i have 5 options. im just starting paintball, im looking for just shooting at things in the field, and if i enjoy it i might think about getting on a team. Ive never played paintball in my like but it looks fun. heres my options:(im looking to spend under 0 tops.)-Tippmann A-5 .68 caliber over 150 ft range 13 RPS it comes with a CO2 cylinder , barrel plus, barrel cleaner, face mask and owners manual. pretty much new for 0.
-Tippmann Bravo One M4 comes with full 20oz CO2 tank, hopper and tank for 5

- Spyder Rodeo * One Spyder Rodeo Paintball Gun

* One Facemask
* CO2 Tank
* Over 2000 Paintballs- Inferno battery powered PaintballGun.With about 1000 paintballs, 2 air tanks 9oz. and 20oz., a 29oz. co2 tank, a mask, 3 pods with a pod belt that holds 5 pods, and a bag that holds everything but mask and paintballs
Could you tell me
1. Whats the best deal
2. Whats the best quality
3. Any other information that is useful
Thanks
-

QUESTION:
second paintball gun choices, smart parts, or spyder?
hi, I'm currently deciding on whether to buy the new spyder pilot 08 with eyes, the vs1, or the smart parts vibe. I think it will mostly be between the vibe and pilot. I know a lot about the vibe already, but I want to know more about the pilot. I have the 05 pilot and am wondering if the minor problems such as the top cocking bolt flying out have been fixed. here are all the questions I have about the new pilot:1. waterproof?
2. reliable?
3. the top cocking bolt not coming flying out anymore
4. trigger bounce gone? (this is a big one for me)
5. parts don't come loose as easily (pretty minor for me)
6. better grips?
7. eyes work like eyes, not like acs from old marker
8. will the extra speed of the pilot over the vibe be better in my speedball career in the distant future?
9. and finally, your personal choice.
sorry if this is a bit much to ask. You could also suggest another gun that is in this price category, and you think I might be interested in. Thanks!!!
-
ANSWER:
1. Not like "submerge" proof but if it rains it should be fine.2. My old spyders were reliable but i have yet to try any of the newer ones (newest spyder i ever even touched was from 2003, an E-99). I've heard mixed things but a general rule of thumb is 98% of problems are user error. I've never had a gun fail me (except when i messed something up, then it was obvious that was user error).
3. If the bolt flies out, that is an issue the manufacturer would solve for free. The 08 model probably doesn't do that.
4. Well, can't help you there, aside from just adjusting the trigger more.
5. Not familar with that, aside from screws coming loose, which can be solved with a little bit of loctite.
6. Better grips? Again, can't help you there.
7. Wasn't the ACS simply a softer bolt or something? If they advertise eyes, then they're probably legit eyes.
8. The Vibe shoots smoother than a spyder, solely because there's no ram kicking back & forth with each shot. In other words, the extra speed of the Pilot is somewhat negated by the fact that the kick per shot can affect your accuracy a little so that extra bps wouldn't account for much.
9. My personal choice is somewhat above any of these guns so i'm going to go with my personal choice out of the Pilot & Vibe...
I'd go with the Vibe. I love spyders, my first gun was a spyder and it was fantastic but the operating design used is growing outdated. The Vibe is so much simpler internally and it's the exact same price.
I'm gonna go on a tangent about the Proto SLG. It's a good gun, don't get me wrong, but it's not worth 0 (also, the new SLG with an UltraLite frame is coming out for 0, which isn't worth the price, either, imo).
The way it works is too similar to a spyder - it's a sear tripper. A sear is a kind of lever that, when you pull the trigger, the sear releases the ram (on a spyder) which pushes the bolt forward. Then air pushes the bolt & ram back and the ram latches onto the sear for another shot. The SLG does the exact same thing but without the ram - the bolt itself latches onto a sear. I'm just not a fan of that.

QUESTION:
Tippman A5 customization features?
I'm looking for a paintball gun that I can customize. I heard that A5 is the best but it's at the top of my price range. I'm more about making it my own that brand or effectiveness though.. I've seen guns for 0 at Sports Authority which is my ideal price. I don't want to spend too much money on the marker because I want a longer barrel, custom stock, and a camo. Can I put any paintball stock on any paintball gun? Same thing with the barrel?? Any other guns similar to the A5 that I might be interested in?? Thanks for the help guys!-
ANSWER:
The A5 is the most 'customizable' but what that really means is that it has a lot of different upgrades that may or may not be useful. In all honesty the 'upgrades' that Tippmann sells are mostly useless performance-wise. A lot of them are cosmetic changes that alter the appearance of the marker for milsim. This isn't completely insignificant because people are obviously buying them, so whatever your flavor. The A5 is a solid marker. Decent accuracy but it's heavy and also long once you add the CO2 and barrel. The best thing about the A5 is that it comes with a Cyclone feed system. The cyclone feed is a mechanical blowback feed system that achieves what an electrofeed hopper does. It chambers a ball after each shot.
Where am I going with all this? The longer barrel can wait. Eventually you'll want to upgrade it, but it's not necessary. Custom stock doesn't help you shoot any better. Mostly it will just get in the way. Camo? You can paint camo yourself so you can save yourself money there.
Not every stock will fit on every marker. You have to have a stock that specifically says it's for a certain marker. Same thing with barrels. Each marker has its own threading. Sometimes markers share common thread styles (The Invert Mini has the same threading as the Autocockers) but you'll have to make sure the barrel can fit your marker. It will say so on the package.
If you can't afford a Tippmann A5 then I suggest a Tippmann 98 custom. They have those markers sold in packages that include masks, hoppers, and CO2. It's almost the same marker except it doesn't have a cyclone feed. It's just as customizable. Upgrading to an electrofeed hopper is good in general and can still be used if you buy another marker. It's cheap to start off and there's lots of upgrades for milsim. There are also performance upgrades that actually make it work better (HPA tank, Electrofeed Hopper, barrel, zero kick internals, etc).
Similar markers? The A5 is pretty unique because of the cyclone feed. That kind of feed system is a good alternative to the electrofeed hoppers on the market. The good news is that you won't have to buy one with the A5.
I hope this helps. Have fun!
EDIT: One more thing. Check out craigslist for used equipment. I bought my A5 a year ago along with a mask, CO2 tank, a 14" barrel, and an e-trigger for 0.
